I do not recommend this anime to anyone. This anime has some similarities with FLCL, Excel Saga, Bakemonogatari(the series as a whole), and Popotan in that its incredibly confusing. Every episode has its own plot arc that's separate from the rest. The plots are random and ridiculous and attempting to watch episodes back to back is confusing to the point of nausea. Sorry to anyone that liked this series, i just personally strongly dislike it. (This is the response to a request for this review.)

The Asterisk War

"The Asterisk War" takes place in a large city where our main character goes to school. The city is worldwide know for being the place where all wishes can come true if you have the strength to defeat everyone else. Our main character Ayato Amagiri is very strong, however he has been bound with some sort of spell that makes him only able to use his strength for a few minutes. All students that wish to compete in the yearly battle thing fight with swords and magic. I recommend this anime for its unique plot. The main character does indulge in the "cheesy nice guy" routine where girls throw themselves at him for no reason, but other than that it is well worth watching.
