Just got a hit of nostalgia and bought this and FNV again but seeing lots of ppl saying it doesnt work on steam anymore? Can anyone confirm or deny?

I have gotten a bug only one other man has ever gotten it seems. 16 years ago a guy called Yurameki encountered a glitch that disabled his ability to repair gear in game after killing three Talon mercs. Now that exact thing happened to me somehow. I could repair before but not after encountering and killing the mercs. The bug is persistent through saves before and after, even new games are affected. I even uninstalled the game, cleared all files and reinstalled with a fresh save but it persists. Yuramek...

Seriously, how far along are we with computers? Why do I have to know how to clip code and make all these ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ adjustments that don't even work in the end just to try to get a game to play on a computer that has specs so far and above such an old ass game. Fix the stupid launcher already, there are a lot of people in here with the same issue, same complaint. The guides don't work, I've tried and tried and tried. This is simply ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid....

Haven't played in about a decade but have played through it multiple times. In your opinion what are some essential mods for 2026? Currently looking at Project Beauty and the unofficial patch.
