The main question on everybody's minds is "Is Cyberpunk worth playing in 2022?"

My answer to this after 204 hours and having accomplished 100% completion is "yes but." If you already bought the game after buying into the hype back in 2020 and placing your preorder, I would say it could be your time to jump back into Night City. The game has received many patches that have increased the overall stability of the game and reduced glitches immensely. On my latest playthrough of 75 hours, I experienced only a single crash though through further research I seem to be lucky in that department so your experience may vary.

If you never bought this game back in 2020, I would say "keep waiting." While the game is fun, and has about 80 hours worth of content- it is just... "lacking." The game was touted to be a real RPG with CDPR placing immersion at the forefront of everything. And while there are varied builds and ways to approach combat, the RPG and immersion elements hyped by CDPR are simply not present, and no amount of patches will resolve that. So why keep waiting? To see what the DLC has in store, or to pick this game up on sale.

I want to place the glitches, lag, and all the other technical problems aside and just emphasise that this game is not the game CDPR teased us with those years ago. If you're looking for a Ubisoft style looter shooter akin to the Far cry series, then you will like this one. But if you're looking for a hardcore RPG? Look elsewhere, this just isn't it. Story is more linear than advertised, and immersion is completely absent.

Pros:
- Varied builds combining perks, attributes, tech implants, and weapons. Definitely can find your own unique thing here.
- Character customisation in terms of appearance is very in depth.
- Very atmospheric. Gloomy and dark when it needs to be, cheerful and optimistic at other points.
- At least 75 hours of content to explore, even if alot is repetitive.
- The music is fantastic. Some of the best OSTs in gaming are present here.
- Weapons are unique and are all useful for various aspects.
- Main story is interesting and will keep your attention.

Cons:
- Bugs. (Of course.)
- RPG elements not up to par with most RPG titles nowadays.
- Immersion is an afterthought.
- Linear story, only choices that really have a big impact are the endings.
- Not a large variety of weapons. Especially in strength builds. (Heavy MG only having 1 variant and no unique variants.)
- Side gigs can be bland and uninteresting though some exceptions.
