The game drops you in with very few instructions and little to no direction, except a few open ended quests with general compass pointers to where you should be going. All in all, you will enjoy it if you can get past the first hour to figure out the in game systems. The art work is stellar and seemingly all hand drawn, and each new game all the towns are switched around so you will constantly feel like you are exploring. The story starts of slow however the world slowly becomes darker and darker as you progress and certainly warrants its horror tag if you let you take you there. The sound is beautiful and crisp and fits whatever setting you find yourself in.
The only real con I found is no enemy health bars, their are subtle hints to how much damage you are doing but I would have appreciated a firm health bar to at least show how much damage you are dealing especially to the more abstract creatures you encounter.
TLDR;
A solid horror RPG with a slow burn and tons of beautiful art to keep you busy. 8.2/10
