ds2 is not bad at all as a standalone game but definitely the weakest fromsoft title. it still shines in a lot of aspects and i actually do prefer it over 3. ive done all bosses on 2 and 3 + dlc and ill say that you'll get a lot more content in 2 rather than 3. 3 is definitely not a bad game but it's very disappointing and doesn't make sense context wise when you haven't beat 2.
of course, you don't need to listen to anything that anyone says but believe me when i say that going from number order in about any game franchise is always the most enjoyable way. hell, you might even love ds2.
even if you play 3 first, remember to always check 2 out. it's really good and i wouldnt wish anyone to miss out on it
