Many of my games (especially those which are old or only have Windows versions) have far less recorded game-time than what I've actually spent playing them. However, since I buy the next tier of badge for a game every 100 hours, my actual playtimes can be inferred somewhat. The formula to convert badges to hours is (100 * (b - 1)), since I buy the first badge not based on hours, but based on whether I liked the game. I buy the foil badge at 500hrs.
