Right now, I'm still grinding bandits. But starting to think about the long game. Intend to join a faction at some point. 1-When building your army do you guys mix & match units from different factions? Or do you stick with troops from only one faction? Will my Swadian footmen desert if I go to war with Swadia later in the game? 2-Do you actually need all classes, infantry, cavalry, ranged? The battles all seem to devolve into a street mob fight. You probably need archers for sieges but for open field bat...

So I decided to start yet another new game last night after conquering all of Calradia for the Kingdom of Swadia not too long ago. This time, I want to conquer it as a vassal of the Kingdom of the Nords. Then in the next playthrough, I'll likely help the Rhodoks conquer the world. From then I think I'll try conquering everything with the Sarranids and finally the Khergits. After all that's said and done, THEN I might see about starting my own kingdom. DISCLAIMER: NO, I AM NOT PLANNING TO START MY OWN KING...

I'm new~ish to the game (I played it before but always quit before joining a faction), and I'm playing a campaign where I became a vassal for the Rhodoks a while ago and as soon as I did they went to war with the Vaegirs. Eventually we wiped them out and I was given a couple of villages and a castle. However now the Nords declared war on us and I was granted Marshall and at this point I'm kinda burned out. I was given a couple of castles between Khudan and Curaw right next to where the Nords keep respawn...
