Metro: Last Light continues Artyom’s journey through the Metro with a more focused and emotional narrative. The atmosphere is once again outstanding; dark tunnels, political tension, and haunting surface moments all feel more refined. The story leans more into morality and humanity, especially with the Dark One, adding depth to the experience. However, it can feel slightly linear at times, with less room for interpretation compared to the books. Some moments move a bit too fast, not fully letting the world breathe.


Gunplay feels tighter and more responsive while keeping its weighty feel. Survival mechanics like gas masks and ammo management are better balanced, maintaining tension without overwhelming the player. Stealth is improved and more consistent, making silent playthroughs more enjoyable. Level design is clearer overall, reducing frustration, though minor AI issues still appear occasionally.
