this cod game got the most hate for no reason ghosts , will be forever be my favorite cod.

buy the game at your own risk! as much as i love cod ghosts campaign i cant recommend anyone to buy it. due to 1 issue that hit me hard, any sniper scope in this game uses dual rendering. pretty much rendering the world a 2nd time. since this wasnt done properly it will cause heavy stutters making the game unplayable and causing you to not use some of the content within the game the fact that activision is still selling this for $100 is insane with this issue present.

A fun Call of Duty, even if it was hated by the community, it would get much worse after this.

The campaign was a bombastic story about south America invading the US and even taking over an orbital space station from the US.
Then you part of the Ghost team have to fight back to retake America.
The story almost made it look like you where fighting in an apocalyptic America instead of a warzone that we are used to.
I has some fun over the top moments as always and you are even allowed to control a tank and helicopter at some point.
Sadly the game ended on a big cliffhanger and is very unlikely that we will see a proper resolution to ghosts.

Multiplayer tried to do plenty of new things, some great, some stupid.
Every map for example had a unique care package killstreak and the DLC even added movie easter eggs, like playing as Jason Vorhees.
The pick 10 style system was back, but changed, you had more points, but also way more perks, each perk however would have a value based on it's strength, you could get 5 1-point perks or 1 5-point perk.
We got some nice character customization and they had a new twist on prestige, allowing you to switch characters, instead of a full restart.
Some of the terrible choices where UAV where changed to placeable SAT-COMS, you needed 3 at the same time to have a UAV effect.
Melee attacks had an animation that kept you in place for a couple seconds on a kill.
They had some of the biggest maps ever and people could blend in extremely well with the muted color pallet.

The co-op mode was a new twist on zombies, now extinction.
You fight your way from point A to B to C killing aliens and completing objectives in a semi-linear campaign style mission.
Earing credits and upgrades along the way.
It kind of proved that we don't have to do zombies every year.

The game is sadly quite dangerous to play if you use the vanilla steam version.
If you think about getting it then I highly recommend using plutonium or fully disconnecting from the internet and playing solo for the campaign/extinction/mp bots.

Personally I use IW6 with build in combat training to level up offline so I can still experience the game like it was on launch with earning XP, camos and calling cards. I know it's not the same as playing PVP but it's in my opinion not worth risking a RCE attack online.
