What is Dark and Darker?

This game has a fun play on that hardcore fantasy dungeon style game. You pick classes and attempt to escape the dungeon.

Beginner Player Friendly?

I would argue this may not be the most beginner player friendly game. The reasons I say this is because there is a little tutorial, but not anything once you get into the game. You really have to learn on your own and figure everything out. The game play itself is more dark souls level, which means you will probably die A LOT before you get better. I would say if you are new to gaming and you don't like this style of game play perhaps start with something a little more beginner friendly.

Game Play:

The game play is really enjoyable if you are looking for a PVPVE environment. You have the option to party up with up to three people or go in solo against a world of monsters and players that are out to kill you. You can pick multiple types of classes between bards and sorcerers to warriors and rangers. All the classes do something different and help you achieve a different play style. You can loot chests, monsters and players. Yes, there is a proximity chat.

Graphics:

The graphics are more old style then new, and the game seems very dark and sometimes it can be hard to see, which is what they are going for I think. It is a dungeon. I think this game has the potential to run on lower end systems but the size of the world and the other players that may join and leave the game may make the game more laggy. However it ran well on my computer.

Community:

The community can be a mixture of toxic and friendly, as all games that have voice chat tend to have a toxic side. There are guides to this game that can help you if you have any questions and I think most of the community will assist if you have any questions.

How long can you play?

This game has the potential to be played for hours. I have only played the game for around 1 hour at the time of this review but me and my duo are already planning another session because we really enjoyed the game play loop. Each session in the dungeon is around '15 minutes' long. So we went into the dungeon around three times in the span of an hour.

My Opinion:

In my opinion, this game is super fun. I really enjoyed it, I think it would be better to play with friends. But honestly I really enjoyed playing for the time I did and so did my duo. My duo also loves being able to pick different fantasy classes which is kind of what attracted them to the game as well. I think if you are looking for an interesting dungeon looting PVPVE type of game, you may want to try this one out.
