I'm a little late to it, but Resident Evil 7 was absolutely worth it. I came for the horror, but ended up getting attached to the story and characters more than I expected. The tension never really lets up, and some moments genuinely made me feel sad. Such a memorable experience.

I started playing Resident Evil 7 yesterday and finished it in the same day. i played it for 8 hours straight.

I kept postponing the game because I thought I would hate the first person perspective, but surprisingly, I loved it. Resident Evil 7 was a great experience after the disappointment of Resident Evil 6.

Fighting the Baker family members was awesome and almost everything in the game was enjoyable. i never got bored. the only part where I felt a little bored was the ship section.

the game wasn't as scary as people described it. In my opinion people were exaggerating.

i would Absolutely recommend playing it.
But the real question is... Who the hell is Aunt Rhody and what do i tell her ?

Most people think horror is about monsters.

They're wrong.

Horror is about realizing nobody is coming to save you.

And Resident Evil 7 understands that better than almost any game I've played.

The moment you step onto that property, something feels off. Not in a dramatic way. In a quiet way. Like the house already knows your name. Like it's been waiting for you.

I loved that feeling.

The Baker estate isn't just a location.

It's a trap pretending to be a home.

Every hallway feels too narrow. Every room feels occupied. Every door feels like it has bad intentions. The whole place radiates the kind of energy that makes normal people turn around immediately.

Ethan doesn't.

Which is hilarious.

Because every second he spends in that house is another opportunity for reality to remind him how terrible his decision-making is.

Then Jack Baker shows up.

Now we're talking.

The man doesn't feel human anymore. He doesn't feel like a villain. He feels like a force of nature that somehow learned how to joke. Every time he appears, the atmosphere changes. The walls feel smaller. The exits feel farther away.

And somehow he's having a wonderful time.

I respect that.

What makes RE7 special is how personal it feels. No armies. No cities collapsing. No world-ending catastrophe.

Just you.

One house.

And a family that absolutely refuses to let you leave.

The game slowly strips away every illusion of control. Bullets run low. Supplies disappear. Safe rooms become sacred ground. You start treating locked doors like miracles.

And the house notices.

The deeper you go, the more it feels alive.

Like it's studying you.

Testing you.

Trying to figure out exactly how much pressure it takes before you break.

The answer, thankfully, is quite a lot.

By the end, I wasn't trying to escape anymore.

I was exploring.

Curious.

Excited to see what fresh insanity was hiding behind the next door.

Rotten. Claustrophobic. Magnificent.

A masterpiece that understands the scariest thing in the world isn't being hunted by a monster.

It's realizing the monster is completely comfortable in its own home... and you're the guest.
