ABOUT Site Watch

Site Watch is a independent non affiliated group that is tasked with reviewing websites powered by steam such as trading sites. Site Watch also investigates corruption, unprofesionalism, and abuse in these sites.

Site Watch's job is to basically evaulate and monitor website behaviour.

How we review websites is based on many major factors: Activity, Community, Staff, and Functionality. Once a review is made a list of improvements are created to help the site in question improve. All reviews are in our Report Card forum.

We also do investigations. We will perform investigations when there is a major controversy in these website communties. Incidences such as admin abuse, corruption, favouritism, mass bannings, and overall unprofessionalism are looked into by our team. A report will then be posted in our Investigations forum for the public to look at.

Inspections are random to make sure that the site that we are reviewing doesn't plan to act their best on inspection day.

A Little Update

To whom it may concern,

As many of you know, our founder HaC3rPr0 decided he just wasn't the one to take on such a task as running and managing a group of this function. Without him, neither can I take on this task. A few inferences I have made into the current failure of the group are mainly based upon a couple of facts that:
1) Sitewatch is run through a steam group. I always recommended to HaC3rPr0 to purchase the domain name in order to really commit to the idea. His reluctance to do this led me to believe that he wasn't 100% confident that this group would really succeed.
2) Site Watch was HaC3rPr0's idea, and I do not really feel the need to really follow through to the end with it. Neither can I afford to run this group on my own due to my own intensive studies and schoolwork.
3) This group was created extemporaneously out of impulse and little preparation was done beforehand which should have been done (again going back to the domain name and overall organization was poor).
4) The initial naive optimism of future success and achievement dried up very quickly.

That being said, in the hands of a more experienced leader I believe that a community such as this could really thrive. Perhaps in the future under better management, this community (or one of similar function) could fluorish into a great one to serve the community of Steam as an unbiased source of reliable information on a wide selection of trading sites, and other information based sites. Seeing as I will be busy, if you cannot contact me right away, you should contact the other new admin ihop and he will promote you to admin if you think you are capable of the endeavor of devoting your resources and time to this group as the new owner.

With this announcment, I shall resign my position, and formalize the rather sudden and unannounced abdication of HaC3rPr0. In case this group really does fall apart, I sincerely apologize to any of you who may have thought that this really did have a chance, that it would have been a great investment of time and effort.

I'm just gunna assume it's safe to say this thing is already dead, the only reason it was created was to bash scrap.tf and did it in a very poor manor
