This is the steam group for http://konata.tf, a TF2 serber hosted in Europe, for EU players.

Hosted in Norway, this group features custom maps on Thursday, including some classics like dm_scarletdevilmansion and mario_kart (old one)

This group will primarily be used to schedule events where I give the serber my full, undivided attention, and to have updates on serber when needed.

Banned from Skial? Banned from Uncletopia? European? Come join! Sprays are enabled and I'm too damn lazy to do active moderation.

While this has been "teased" (read: discussed) in the group chat for a while, it's finally sort-of-kind-of done! And just in time for Konata's birthday!!!1111

The new serber's changes are as thus:

Hosted in Amsterdam, Netherlands, as opposed to Oslo, Norway
Linux OS instead of Windows (thus small ammo packs no longer give 41 metal/ammo)
Actual VPS instead of managed host, meaning I have more control over the serber's technical stuff
Resizable Sprays plugin installed (it needs Linux)
Replaced the scramble plugin, and will probably replace it back with gScramble or something else depending on if I can find a plugin that allows for mid-round scrambles

Other than the ammo bug, Resizable Sprays, scramble plugin, and the natural changes in ping, the Konata experience you're all used to hasn't changed.

Hello. If you're following the 4ch vee gee then you already know

I am thinking of doing one last shot at making the serber have SOME life in it.

The idea:

Reform Konata into a Classic Maps serber.

Essentially, just give up any map rotation (look at the maplists on the site. It's basically every map in the game except Thursday lmao) and just focus on having a core set of fun and classic maps like Doomsday, some real Payload Race, Watergate, stuff like that.
If this were a changelog I'd guess it'd be

- Remove the "unique" Map Skip Vote
- Remove daily map list changes*
- Remove all/most of the more recent maps except the good ones
- Stop hosting a TF2 Goldrush serber
+ Add map voting back
+ Add rtv too
+ Add 15 minutes to the base timer so it's 45 minutes
+ Actually just add the normal voting most seem to expect from a simple serber
+ Add more "normal" workshop/custom maps that people like**

*In regards to the daily map list changes, it'll depend on the size of the total map list. I'm also rather attached to the Out Of Touch Thursday idea. The daily map list was originally supposed to bring a sort of consistent variety depending on the day you played, and as a good way to keep the MASSIVE map lists more controlled. With a smaller map pool and actual map choice when voting, this may not be necessary.

**We're talking about custom maps not meant entirely for goofing around like you'd see on the OOT Thursday maps.

With that said, I'm not sure when I'll get to it. It's not that I have a busy life... I just... Really suck at initiating things. Working on that.

Map suggestions have always been welcome, but they are more than welcome now.
