Sorry Eon, but this is an example of why I just can't gel with gamers as a community at a fundamental level (ignoring misogyny and general inceldom that highly overlaps with gamers). The media literacy outside of video games is just too low. Whether video games are an artform or not, any artistic decision that borrows from or references a non-video game is completely lost on the audience if it isn't a MCU-style easter egg reference.
