The Unicorn Squad started out as a joke. One night a small group of friends played Halo Reach, made their emblems into unicorns, and made the Unicorn Squad. Since then it has grown to become their clan in a few mmos and other multiplayer games. The Unicorn Squad isn't really focused on unicorns or magic, although both of those things are pretty cool.

Unicorn Sqaud on League of Legends is called "Meow Meow Mafia" because some other group took our name. Jerks.
