The game has fun parts such as the combat system feeling great. Everything else is absolutely terrible. Upgrade systems where you can invest dozens of hours and lose progress, rng systems where you can look for 1 item for years and never see it, fomo mechanics which make you want to login every day and play multiple hours a day doing dailies and weeklies, not to mention the thousands of hours of monotonous grind you need to do.

Every update is such a mess, bugs upon bugs upon bugs. I'll only be describing one of the major ones, but there are dozens of other minor ones, that can go unfixed for weeks if not months, if they get fixed in the first place. That is unless of course the bug benefits the player, then it is quickly fixed within a couple hours, and anyone who abused them is awarded for doing so, by not being punished and keeping everything.

Erda's Request is a weekly quest that grants a major jump to early game progression and is bugged and can't be completed, but only for some people. There was a new server just released, so some people are at least 1 week ahead of progression with hard to get materials, which can lead to upwards of a 30% damage difference. That's huge on a fresh server where everyone is rushing to complete boss content.

Furthermore, updates hit the servers 1-3 hours before weekly reset, meaning players are in a mad rush to complete new weekly content before it resets to get so-called "week 0" or "day 0" rewards. The Erda's Request is one of the weekly quests that can be completed like so. The quest unlocks at level 260, which means it takes too long to get to before the weekly reset. That is, unless you buy the battle pass (that seem to increase in price every year and buying every pass is hundreds of dollars for a single 3 month event) that can get the player to even level 270 before the weekly reset. Of course, these players could complete Erda's Request and now be ahead by 2 weeks with the rare materials.

Only play this game if you like to hate yourself.

Please take a note from Habbo Hotel and RuneScape, just re-release this game EXACTLY like it was in 2008. You can still leave this garbage up for whoever might want to play it.
