Imagine joining a server and just playing Minecraft.

Not having to read rooms full of signs, not having to run a marathon to find a place to build, and not having to deal with trolls, griefers, or people camping spawn points to kill you. This is a Damn Near Vanilla Experience where the aim is to give players as close to a pure Minecraft experience while still dealing with major problems such as overpopulation, trolls, griefers and stripped lands.

Easter Sunday Egg Hunt!

As soon as we get enough people online I'll be hosting the hunt so this notice is for NOW!

The End is now open to all!

Finally found the problem and fixed it yesterday, so far still no problems so all seems to be well. However access to the Endermen Farm is still locked and requires trust from myself.

In addition while some of you may know of the End Portals around the map, to prevent people from claiming and "locking" them shut in attempts to have payment required to access, a new portal has been built and set up in "Arena" region.

Simply use "/visitregion Arena" to get there.

The rules for the farm are the same of course. Do not let anyone in. If they're trusted, they'll let themselves in. If you're found letting in untrusted players to the farm you will have your permission to use it revoked.
Also try and remember to bring the cart back to the entrance for the next person. Even if you're just gonna suicide to get out quickly, send it back first.

ANYWAY, hope you guys enjoy it!

What's everyone up to now adays? Its been a really long while. Just saw this group on my steam page lol, though I'd take a look and be a little bit nostalgic. I spent many hours on this server. It had such a cool player base. - Nacho if anyone is wandering who this is.

SeanCain here! If anyone here is interested in reliving the good ol' days of DNV, I've taken over BeardCraft for BigScary and I've continued his legacy in keeping the server as close to vanilla as possible while maintaining Grief Prevention claims and Population Density's region system. The server is constantly being updated - currently running 1.12.1 - and will remain open for the foreseeable future. If you're curious, you can check the Facebook link provided by BigScary below, or just directly connect to the server yourself using the IP: beardcrafter.com - I hope to see a few familiar faces return!

Hey, this is Cap. I know I'm a few months late, but as there been an update with the server? Have people gone to the new one that BigScary mentioned? I noticed that the old server's IP is active again so I thought I'd ask.

It's BigScary again - I posted here about 6 months ago after stumbling across this steam group. :) I'm disappointed to see the original DNV server hasn't made a comeback! However, my new server "BeardCraft" has been up for about 8 months now, and it's designed the same as DNV - vanilla plus land claims. If you're still into Minecraft and looking for a server, I'd love to chat with some of you guys again!
