With it being Easter I figured why not do an egg hunt!

The End is now open to all!

Finally found the problem and fixed it yesterday, so far still no problems so all seems to be well. However access to the Endermen Farm is still locked and requires trust from myself.

In addition while some of you may know of the End Portals around the map, to prevent people from claiming and "locking" them shut in attempts to have payment required to access, a new portal has been built and set up in "Arena" region.

Simply use "/visitregion Arena" to get there.

The rules for the farm are the same of course. Do not let anyone in. If they're trusted, they'll let themselves in. If you're found letting in untrusted players to the farm you will have your permission to use it revoked.
Also try and remember to bring the cart back to the entrance for the next person. Even if you're just gonna suicide to get out quickly, send it back first.

ANYWAY, hope you guys enjoy it!

The option to thin out overcrowded groups of animals/mobs/entities is now off.

Measurements have been taken so that these automatic breeder/cookers for animals will no longer work. I understand people want an easy, cheap, quick way of obtaining food but as a result of these mass farms that everyone is building our server is taking performance hits when there's thousands of them in game at once. For the time being unless another fix is found animals can only be auto-cooked via a sword with Fire Aspect on it. Lava blades, fire from flint and steal or fire charges, etc will no longer yield cooked meat.

With that being said a request from myself...

I've noticed a lot of people wanting to build farms so large they couldn't possibly have use for it all. Rather it seems they build it for bragging rights or to show off. As such my request to the community is thus, "Use only what you need".

In the days when building "Iron Farms" was the cool thing to do, everyone simply had one. This resulted in mass amounts of villagers through out the server. A few actually getting out of hand that infinitely spawned villagers and choked everyone in game down to stop motion quality.

This is not a mandatory request, just a personal one.

Try to think of the server when you're breeding a farm to have 100 of every animal. Do you really need that many? Are you actually going to kill every single one off and breed them over and over? This is seen with sheep a lot too. People with mass sheep farms that never get used. All I'm asking is to try to be considerate of players with not-so-powerful computers or those with lack-luster connections. If not for me then for your fellow players.

Starting when we have our daily reset the option to thin overcrowded groups of animals/mobs/entities has been switched on.

This is mainly due in part that so many users are setting up automatic chicken killers/cookers for easy food/feathers that each contain mass amounts of them in one place, some of them even constantly spawning more via egg drops.

What does this mean?

Your chicken machines will have far less chickens in them. Too many in one area and they'll despawn. I realize this might be frustrating to some of you but it's necessary since so many players are too lazy to go and make food the normal way . That they must resort to an automatic machine to do it for them. I'm hoping this will lighten the load for some players with weaker connections/computers who's FPS drops when in the vicinity of these machines.

As many of you know we've been hit by a bug in the latest version of our Grief Prevention Plugin resulting in players having a negative "remaining blocks" amount leaving them unable to adjust or make new claims. Unfortunately the developer of the plugin does not have a fix nor is too keen on addressing this problem for he's since removed the cause of it.

Now there's basically two options I'm left with in order to take care of this issue...

A.
I log every player who has a negative value.
Visit each and every one of their claims and add the total blocks for their claims up.
Manually give them that amount back in "Bonus/Awarded claim blocks"

B.
Reset the plugin

Builds will remain but claims will not
Everyone will start with by default, 1000 claim blocks
The "blocks gained per hour" will be raised as well.

Obviously B is the easier solution but with more of a potential negative impact. With claims being erased builds will be vulnerable. However with the initial count going up as well as the per hour gains raising, people will have a chance to accrue more blocks then they previously had. As it stands I'm leaning towards B and in the event this happens, the Grief Prevention Reset will take place tomorrow night of Friday the 24th and will last until Sunday night giving players of all time zones plenty of time to gain their blocks back.

Last but not least, if you've donated to the server since our reset at the beginning of the month, you will be reimbursed your donated amounts worth of claim blocks.
