One of the first games that I can remember to truly reach the pinnacle of what games are capable of in terms of story telling, and this is the improved version with stuff that got cut or was in books put in. It's not perfect but there are so few games (a lot of them nier games) which utilaize so many different concepts, game genres, styles and methods of story telling. One of my favourite stories of all time.

Taking some of the best systems from class based final fantasy to make a highly volatile (low health high damage) in combination with the intense and thrilling story about class warfare and how the rich will do anything in their power to hold said power while always undermining the poor and working class that let their power even exist. I've heard about the game for years and the chance to finally play it is mind blowing, truly this is the best FF game and one of the best RPGS of all time. Every cutscene to every other cutscene has some of the best single lines i've ever heard in video games, or fiction in general. The remasters update visuals and especially the voice acting are utter incredible. If you dont mind grinding out a level or two between most story events I couldn't recommend this game enough.
