The long and the short of it, they killed this game with the PvP nerf in early July of 2025. You went from epic aerial battles in the deep desert, to nothing. Now it's nothing but rat players. In a total and complete reversal of course from the original vision they sold, in a feudal attempt to please everyone, they have swiftly destroyed what could have been a great game.

The support is terrible. I lost items from simply travelling to a main city, during a brief loading screen, items I was wearing vanished. It took 16 days to get a reply after opening a ticket, and before I could respond they closed my ticket.

The PvE community in this game is toxic beyond belief. Genuinely rooting for the game to die so they don't have to compete with PvP players in the deep desert. Go to the general discussion and look for yourself.

At the time of writing this, the game has 38k players currently playing, from averaging well over 100k daily just weeks ago.

I really hope they take this player drop seriously and closely examine their choices going forward.



PvE Combat: Very basic, most combat mechanics are rudimentary, lacking any real depth.

Story: I'll say it's somewhat interesting, but nothing I'll remember 10 years from now.

PvP: Dead

My advice is to skip this one. The devs completely changed course and willingly chose to not deliver the PvP experience this game was intended to be built on.

Amazingly fun game ruined by the worst community in gaming I ever ever experienced. Disgusting, vile humans play this game in abundance.

The best Far Cry game I have ever played. The story, the location, the atmosphere and art are unparalleled. Joseph Seed is undoubtedly the best villain this series has ever produced, extremely memorable cast.

I've played through this game at least 3-4 times, once on PS4.
I was disappointed the crafting system is non-existent.

I hated this game, which is a huge disappointment, because I wanted to play it for so long. I played exclusively with friends, and it was still a miserable experience. Look up gameplay videos vs the way you expect to play this game. You cheese everything.

I did not enjoy this at all. Not the difficulty, just constantly being out of everything. I want to shoot these badass weapons we have. Not spend the majority of the time looking for ammo.

A lot of dialogue. A lot..... I mean... So much... I'll update after I get farther into the game.

Simple and fun. Reminds me a lot of New Vegas.

I'm not sure why this game is even still on the store.

My favorite single player game.

I was a little concerned about Doom Eternal in the first 45 minutes. It seemed very cartoony, with the green/yellow theme. The UI isn't dark and menacing like Doom 2016 was.

Although I'm still not a fan of the throwback scheme Doom Eternal has adopted, I can tell you it gets so good. Once you push through the starting area of the game, the polish and level design really start to shine.

It's a damned good game so far, and I'm enjoying the hell out of it.
