Huge extremely detailed open world that made my old computer bend over and take it. Take it at 3 frames per second in the big cities. Big downside was that the randomized quests seemed to take over too soon and you ran out of original story lines to follow.

Amazing game, almost endless in what you can do. Build, fight, explore, craft and horde. You can fight and refight bosses. Create battle zones to fight bosses or armies. Dig and explore, gather resources and items to build your base and upgrade yourself.

Valve has sent me a message asking me to change my review because I still play the game. I can't. I cannot recommend this game to new players. It is under supported, still needs many balance fixes, needs more oversight on community made content, still has bot problems in official servers, and is still pulling in large amounts of money for Valve. I get that its an old game and Valve wants to move forward, but that is just another reason to not recommend the game.

I have played this game since the launch month. Not only did i purchase this game, when it was new, I also bought copies for friends. I have spent way too much time playing this game. From the basic servers at launch, to jump servers, 24/7 2Fort, Dodgeball, MvM, and now a 100 player server, I have explored as much of this game as I could. I did it because it brought me joy, I loved the time i spent in it. I have made many friends and enjoyed their company as we played together. This game has played a large role in my gaming life. To see the state that it is in, with the bots invading matchmaking games, makes me sad. It sucks to know that valve sees this happening and lets it continue. This is a game that they still profit from yet they let their loyal players be abused. They let those who speak out get doxxed and swatted with no comment. If the bots were gone this game would be amazing. As is, they are killing the game and I cannot recommend it.
