Slash and parry your way through a mildly fictionized Sengoku era Japan on a quest to save an immortal child lord from those that would abuse his power.

Sekiro is a must play action game for anyone looking for a good challenge and a game which requires patience and mastery. It might be difficult and even feel unfair to start, but with time and effort, the game should click, and when it does, the difference is night and day. Never have I gone from getting beaten o a pulp to wiping the floor with eah and every boss like it's nothing. Then, when you feel that things have gotten too easy, there's options to crank the difficulty even further for greater rewards.

If that isn't enough to sink your teeth into, all this gameplay happens in a large, intricately designed world with a variety of detailed locations to explore and admire, whether it be a snowy battlefield or an infested temple.

These all complement a story set in what may be Japan's bloodiest era as the disgraced shinobi Wolf goes on a quest to regain his honor and evacuate his master, Lord Kuro, from a crumbling empire.

I did mean it when I said that he game was set in a very bloody time, the game's beautifully rendered locales are a stark contrast to the geysers of blood erupting from every enemy you kill. The grahics aren't exactly top of the line, but the art direction ensures this simply does not matter, as Sekiro is still just as beautiful and visceral regardless.

I have to say, this game has an... interesting history. Being a game that is 10 years old, and still getting active support it definitely has a longevity that can't be denied.

It's easy to say that 90% of Valve doesn't care about it, and you'd be right, but the remaining 10% are clearly passionate about it. I mean, at the time of writing, it's gotten one of the biggest and best updates it's had in a long time (New weapons!!!), and that alone managed to double the size of it's already sizable playerbase.

The weapon and class balance is out of whack for sure, but that's something that the dev team is currently working on (if they aren't fixing bugs included by the Jungle Inferno update). There IS competitive matchmaking, but it's slow as hell to get to a match, and that's coming from someone who lives in the blessed land of this game's matchmaking (Seattle). You'd be lucky to find a match at all. It's also ♥♥♥♥, so it's not worth trying in the slightest at the moment. There IS some comp fixes in the works, but who knows when it's coming. This is Valve we're talking about.

For a F2P game there are surprisingly fer P2W elements. The most you'll have to spend is $1-2 USD and you're set. More if you want the new cosmetic items, but give it some time, and those will be available for free. The game's item economy is so large, that after some patience and effort, you can actually make money off of these items. A considerable amount, too.

The community can be toxic, but don't expect them every single match. Also, like any large multiplayer game, there are some unwritten rules you should take note of. I recommend you learn what a friendly is at the very least.

The skill required can be daunting, but given time, you can learn everything this game has to offer (Rocket jumping, sticky jumping, surfing, playing spy, etc.)

Conclusion: Good game. Has it's problems, some of them being pretty significant, but it's still fun. The most played game in my library, as a matter of fact.

EDIT: I got it working! It turns out that GeForce experience fudges the experience by slowing down the game. DOOM is amazing, and you should get it given you can actually run it with GE.

While the game is amazing, and I wish I could play it at full speed, there seems to be an issue where the game simply doesn't want to use all of my processor power (Which is well above the recommended requirements) causing the game to run in slow motion, and the issue doesn't seem to exist anywhere else. With such a glaring, and impossible to fix issue, I can't recommend this game in fear that the same might happen to someone else.

Let's start with the TLDR: A powerful tool that any gaming PC with enough ram can efficiently power.

The ability to take a game world and repurpose it into a filmmaking program is what powers SFM. This gives the program the unique ability of being able to quickly render scenes, as apposed to waiting for hours for a traditional raytracing program to produce a solid result.

SFM, on top of providing increased render times, also provides plenty of tools to allow you to create amazing posters and animations, and an active community means there is no shortage of tutorials to get you up and running.

While development has practically ceased, meaning that there is never going to be any new functionality, this also means that you can use any tutorial, and it will be relevant to the version that you are using. This also means that the ever-expanding workshop for this software will always be 100% full of working assets.

The workshop has a lot of content, and will continue to grow until this software dies, which is something that will likely not happen anytime soon.

A massive yes for anyone who wants to make creative content, but not a monster production PC to go with it.
