A joke? A Zen master gave a course in Zen meditation. This guy who took the course called him a couple of months later, and he was angry. The teacher asked, what’s the problem. The guy told him that he’d been meditating for a couple of months now and nothing had happened. The teacher's response was, congratulations, it usually takes years before nothing happens.

The number of people I run into that think you need to be drunk or high to say anything in public sickens me. And even if I was, if you are, it doesn't change the validity of what is being said. If that's what it takes to show emotion, to make connections, so be it. Hit your pipe, drink your 40, I will not judge you for it.
