It's good, as all Supergiant Games are.

Hades is one of those roguelites that easily hooks even people who usually don’t like the genre. The combat can be fast and juicy, or you can take your time and slowly cheese some fat bastard just to save a bit of HP. Progression keeps throwing new things at you at every stage of the game, and the story and dialogues unexpectedly motivate you to die more often just to read that lore. The style, music, and the persistent upgrades make every run enjoyable and worthwhile, even if it ends in vain.

I previously tried playing with keyboard and mouse and failed miserably, but once I got a Steam Deck (and a gamepad), it became much more enjoyable. That definitely affected why the score isn’t a perfect 10/10, so keep in mind — a gamepad is basically mandatory.
