Short main game, but a good 'finite' incremental. About 30 minutes in it starts hitting the good neurons in your brain and then you can fly through!

Let me get the straight up facts out first:

YES, GET THE DLC. It is fun, it is funny, and had moments of laughter and surprise I haven't had since my first run of Eudaimonia.

Ode to Caslevania is an insanely huge DLC that essentially acts as Vampire Survivors 2, having double the content of the original game in this little £3 purchase. If you like Vampire Survivors, there is no question, you should purchase this, it is fantastic and worth every penny.

Now onto my personal feelings about this DLC:

There has never ever been more of a 'right' pairing for Vampire Survivors to have as a crossover DLC. The game in and of itself was always a funny little love letter to Castlevania, and the crossovers and new DLCs getting ever closer, surely -- nope, Contra!

Well, we have the Castlevania DLC now and it is wonderful. This is a gargantuan DLC - there is so much content, care, attention and joy put into this crossover that it makes my heart feel full. Because there is one thing to make a love letter, but then to be heard and express those feelings so directly to the IP that sparked your imagination in the first place is a rare and beautiful thing. This DLC is nothing short of pure adoration poured out for Castlevania and for its fans, and fans of Vampire Survivors. It is a declaration of love and gratitude and you will know the moment it becomes that heartfelt Thank You.

Love is real, and it exists in Vampire Survivors: Ode to Castlevania.

A charming and fantastically designed Tower Defence. Each stage is more like a puzzle wherein you progress, fail, learn what options 'solve' each wave, try again, and eventually, succeed! They have great additional challenges, and a steady progression that means you never feel overly punished. The solution to the current stage could just be a level up away!

Entirely worth the money for anybody who enjoys TD games!

A heartfelt and earnest love letter to Diablo 2 complete with an incredible recreation of its aesthetics. It honestly feels like a homecoming.
Calling it a Garliclike is somewhat accurate though reductive. There are tasks to do in each level and secrets to discover. Understanding stats and each character's strengths can often be the difference between a bad and good run.

Something that I enjoy that sets it apart is that I've never had a run where I feel entirely overpowered (if I want that, I go boot up VS). Some runs are simply 'won', and they always feel like a victory in place of a foregone conclusion.

For those who enjoy Garliclikes or those who found the original a little shallow, I beg you to give this one a try, because it is a real gem.

Absolute banger of an incremental game. Short, sweet and to the point. Worth the 3 bucks for a really concise look at the 'finite clicker' experience.
