Hello Cleaning Crew! 👋

Last week we released Update 1.2 which included custom key binds, stackable furniture, a list of bug fixes and the first free Caldera Chronicles job, the Miniature Village!

Today we’re going to be taking a closer look at the Miniature Village, including some of the dirt types, interactables and some of the little features that made it into the final version of this not-so-tiny town! 

Introducing... Nutsville, where you’ll find all the cool beans.

We spoke to Laura, Senior 3D Artist, who had a big part in creating the Miniature Village. She pointed us towards some nice features, a few of her calling cards you may have seen in previous (and upcoming) levels, and we get introduced to Dennis...

First off, here are a few details of this job: 
 
Location: Three Rivers National Park, Power Falls 
Size: ~2227 m²  
Useable Washers: Prime Vista Pro, Urban X STREAM, SwirlForce Surf Ace 
Included Equipment: Ladders (12 placement points) 
 

I’m sure no one is surprised by this; it is PowerWash Simulator after all. The layers of filth that go into a PowerWash Simulator job can vary, but mud is always a fun one to wash away to reveal the gleaming surface behind it. 

The Miniature Village of Nutsville is covered in some wet, lumpy mud...

But you’ll also come across some dry, more dust like mud. 

Another dirt that you’ll spot while hosing down this village is rust! It's always a fun thing to see...

If you check out the outskirts of the level, under some trees you’ll find some colourful leaf dirt to blast away from these little houses 🏠

Just for a little bit of fun, the team threw in some bird poop...

There are a lot more dirts to discover, so we’ll let you look around and find the others! 

Would it really be PowerWash Simulator if there wasn’t a gnome guarding a castle that you need to clean?

Unfortunately, these little guys no longer have the ability to fly, but they do stare. A lot. They’re friendly, though! 

You like trains? Yes? Good! You can ride this one 🚂

On the side of this little locomotive, you’ll see the number 47, and you might have spotted that in a few other levels that Laura has gotten involved in.

When we asked about some of what was added in here, Laura says, “They’re like my signature. If you see a squirrel, French thing, number 47, I was probably there!” 
 
Talking of squirrels, here it is! 🐿️ you may spot a couple of these around on this job.

Infront of a house overlooking the castle, you’ll find some little paintings, one of the castle and one of the mines. Those eyes? We’re told by Laura that’s just Dennis... Who is Dennis? 

He lives here, of course ⤵️ 

He used to live in this boat before Laura decided it looked better under water...

Probably enjoys the Beans Funfair too, which looks very nice once it has been rinsed off!

There are so many little details for you all to discover, so we’ll leave it there for now! 

We have a new in-game item drop this week, bringing you all more stuff to stack on your tables. You’ll be able to pick up a typewriter and a sewing machine with your PowerWash Points from the in-game store!

Last week's stackable drops included the record player and neon rocket light, are also available in your in-game store

We've just released Update 1.2! This update includes new features, bug fixes and our first Caldera Chronicles level, the Miniature Village!

Let's take a look at what is new with 1.2 ⤵️

- Key Rebinding is here! You can now remap your keys in the way you prefer to help you comfortably enjoy PowerWash Simulator 2.

- Furniture is now stackable in your home base.

- Controller Deadzone Sliders have been added to the settings.

- Free Caldera Chronicles level, the Miniature Village.

- Achievement fixes including Purr Bonding, which is now only unlockable in the Home Base. A fix to gnome placement in Tea Time, and adjustments to Rise and Shine.

- The Hanging Arrow in the Fun House job has been fixed.

- We’ve removed the invisible wall in the Sound Hallway of the Fun House job.

- Cash earned in Career Story Mode jobs now tracks as intended.

- We removed the glue from navigation equipment so it shouldn’t get stuck in your hands anymore.

- Ladder placement bug fixed.

- You’re now able to recall dirty furniture in the Home Base.

- The ‘Lock Mouse to Screen’ setting has been fixed.

- Fixed some keybind issues that occured when using a Mouse.

- Fixed crosshair when switching from soap to base nozzle.

- We fixed a bug that caused the shop and customisation windows to load incorrectly when the game was launched in certain languages.

- Fixed the 'Controller Disconnected' message pop up.

- Endgame music no longer disrupted by reconnecting controller.

- Language setting pop up fixed.

- Some adjustments to the Shop.

- Equipment SFX fixes.

- General Frame Rate updates.

- General adjustments to UI.

Various bug fixes for multiplayer sessions including:

- We fixed an issue that caused Freeplay vs Multiplayer progress to save incorrectly.

- Soap can now be recalled as intended.

- Updates to Navigation Equipment and Furniture including usage, rotation, and placement.

- Updates to various pop ups.

- We’ve re-aligned some Washer Beam VFX.

- Timelapse is now consistent when you wash the same level in solo play and multiplayer.

- Client notification fix for players leaving a session.

- Adjustments to VFX.

- Frame Rate updates.

- Autosaves will happen more often.

- We fixed some performance issues in the Mount Rushless job.

- Trophy fixes including Purr Bonding, which is now only unlockable in the Home Base. A fix to gnome placement in Tea Time, and adjustments to Rise and Shine.

- The Solar System Exhibit map no longer crashes.

Our first FREE Caldera Chronicles job is available to play right now!

Take a trip to the Three Rivers National Park to wash down the Miniature Village. The little Nutsville village needs a big clean up, from the harbor to the viaduct, to the observatory and everywhere in between, this is no small job.
