A true spiritual successor to Jet Set Radio Future, finally! Though, to be fair, for its asking price this game could have been a bit more. Having finished this game at almost 11 hours and being faced with a honestly pretty lackluster post-game is not that great for a 40€ game. The story is decent, the designs and characters are great, the soundtrack ♥♥♥♥♥ hard and the gameplay is really fun, but a lot of times it got me wishing it went further with its concepts. To me, the fact that you can't switch between skates, board and bike on the fly is a major oversight if you take into account the fact you have to interrupt whatever you're doing and go to a specific spot on the map or even all the way back to your hideout to switch movement styles. Of course, the styles are not that different from each other so that you don't get softlocked, but maaaaaann. What if they were?? It really makes me wish team reptile played more with concepts like this, it really feels like there's just undeveloped potential for a game with these premises.
I suggest you get this one on sale.
