Early Access Review
Yes, there hasn't been an update in over a year. There are still plenty of players and there are still plenty of servers (official and custom). It is not abandoned, the devs are VERY active in the Discord, they are constantly working on the new update which is supposed to overhaul a lot of the maps, the visuals, and a lot of the game- and gunplay as well. If that's not enough for you, then I guess don't buy it but you're missing out.

This game is the closest we have gotten to a BF3/4 feel since, well, BF3/4. It's low poly, but you don't even notice that after a while. The balancing is great (imo), the gunplay is great, the weapons feel heavy (try running with an M200 and then switch to your sidearm). The sound design is alright. The community is sometimes helpful, sometimes straight up meme-y, but it's not really all that toxic. With 127 vs 127 servers, it's my favourite jump-in-and-jump-out-without-performance-stress shooter.

Heavily recommend this if 1) you love the old-school Battlefield vibe, 2) have a potato PC, 3) have an okay PC but can't run 2042, or 4) all of the above.

Do you like Tiny Glade and/or other chill builders?
Do you like Blade Runner (either the original or the sequel)?
Does your mind overflow with creativity?

If your answer to even just one of those questions is 'yes', you will LOVE this game.

The only thing that I can think of that's missing is:
1: some smoother controls (I can't count the numbers of times I want to raise a building up higher, only to be two pixels too far off and ending up rotating the building)
2: a way to connect highways and train systems so you can actually loop through your city
3: maybe a way to highlight which of the structures are planted by you, and which are generated by the game

Whether this is just a horoscope-y 'one description fits all' kinda thing, or it's actually an analytical personality test, one thing is for sure: you _will_ take a deep look into your mind. Don't speedrun it, it's actually a great series of questions, will take up no longer than half an hour, and will absolutely baffle you.

My secret word was 'Blessing'.

Got it in discount and it's great. In the beginning it's sometimes unclear where you can and cannot go, and honestly getting off of Zeffo the first time really had me stumped for a good 45-60 minutes. But overall the progression is pretty nice, and it's very powerful playing a post-order-66 Jedi.

Get this in a sale though.

First things first, this is a solid fantasy-ish archery game. I mean I had fun shooting down big guys and then ressurrecting them as a zombie ally. The enemies don't even pay attention to you (9 out of 10 positions you can teleport to can't even be reached by enemies).

However, there are a few things that make me not recommend this.
1. If you're not a great archer (I have like 30% accuracy), this game can get very challenging, even on Normal difficulty. I feel like Normal should be for enjoying the game and finding fun ways to kill your enemies, and Hard should be difficult. However, Normal feels like quite the challenge. There are sections that I had to redo quite a few times because I spent most of my time healing the two other guys instead of throwing down traps or something. Maybe I specced my arrows wrong, but even then one might argue that any build should be able to go through the game on Normal.
2. You'll miss quite a few arrows because the AI makes very spontaneous changes in the direction they're walking.
3. The gameplay itself is only a couple of hours. Even with the sections that I had to re-do, it took me all of 2.5 hours to complete.
4. (kind of 3a) There's no real endgame. No endless mode, no special mode where you're idk on top of a tower fighting off zombies. Most importantly, if you decide to load an earlier level, you do not keep your skill progression. You start off with no upgrades instead of the upgrades you had before.
5. The story is... hard to follow. Something about a stone or gem? I couldn't really follow it, but maybe that's just me

I got to level 10. I can't get any further unless I start from the start and play until the very end again, and then pray to whatever archery god that I make it past level 10. Admittedly I could do that, but the gameplay isn't THAT fun that I want to run through it again anytime soon.

If there would be updates regarding endgame, or keeping the talents you chose, I would love to play it again and change my recommendation. But for now, I'd argue there are more interesting archery games out there.

This game's gameplay is very top-notch. You really get the feeling you're creating the fire in your hand when you flick your wrist. In virtually every game, I play a wizard/mage, so this is a dream come true. Absolutely loving this game!

Easy to understand, difficult to master. Intriguing game mechanics, 20 different endings, and a great 'storyline'. Glory to Arstotzka!

Usually, simulators are dull, unrealistic, and generally not exciting to play. This game is the complete opposite. There's no racing or anything. Just you, a big-ass truck, tight turns, and long stretches of road. Only thing I don't like is the sleep deprevation simulation. Annoying as ♥♥♥♥.
