This small update primarily consists of added support for the new features in Dystopika ModKit v1.2.0

• Modding: Mod Prop Camera component has been added to allow for staging of custom cameras in Mod Props, similar to the Blimp Cam.

• Modding: Prop Sub-groups have been added to allow for user-selectable variations of a prop.

• Modding: A validation step now takes place while compiling your mod, providing warnings if you are missing required configuration or reference.

• Volumetric light settings have been revised to allow for higher light limits (especially when using the larger map sizes):

  • Low: Low resolution, max 4096 lights

  • Medium: Medium resolution, max 8192 lights

  • High: Medium Resolution, max 16384 lights

  • Ultra: High resolution, max 16384 lights

• Modding: Mod Prop Scaler now allows you to lock scaling on local axes.

• Modding: Light Objects can now be disabled if an associated procbit is not active.

• Fixed a bug where Tile variants and ground tiles were not properly using the world seed after re-loading the save

• Fixed a bug when linear camera movement in photo mode was easing movement.

• Fixed a bug where the building preview would disappear when holding ALT

Rogler has been an amazing contributor to our community, and we’re grateful for everything he’s done to help make this space welcoming, safe, and fun for everyone. We’re thrilled to have him stepping up and joining the mod team.

To keep things fair for all participants, rogler will no longer be taking part in the community challenge. That said, he’s generously offered to continue supporting the challenge in a new way by creating cities inspired by upcoming challenge themes. These creations will be shared as inspiration for anyone who wants a creative spark or a fresh perspective as they work on their own entries. You'll see his creations as the cover art for the challenges going forward.

Your city evolves quietly at first. A few smokestacks appear on the horizon and lights shine late into the night. Machines hum in places where the world was silent. Before anyone realizes it, the beat of life is replaced by the beat of factory machines running well into the night.

This challenge pushes your city into a turning point – the point at which your city commits to industry. Factories and large infrastructure stretch outwards, changing the face of the city and the lives that live there. Neon lights portray a brighter future as the air fills with the glow of smoke and dust.
