Gonna have to give this a 'wait until they fix all the problems'. To preface the review, I have above the recommended system specs stated on the steam page. I have had persistent audio issues, where everything starts getting crushed and crackly after playing for a short period, which I have just dealt with despite reporting them over and over to the team through discord & forums for months now. Was hoping the most recent area would bring fixes but the performance in this newest zone has been so bad that I can barely even run the game. Went from playing the game on high in all previous zones to not being able to run it on low in Dowdun Reach. Meanwhile I'm playing Crimson Desert and Cyberpunk on the highest settings with zero issues. Something is very wrong with the performance of this title and needs to be fixed ASAP. Love the idea and look of everything but there's a lot that is preventing me from enjoying this game that needs to be ironed out.

While it's easy to see the sources that they take inspiration from - and give thanks to in the credits - it's impressive to me how much this stands on its own two feet as a lovingly crafted set of sessions of the writers fantastic world.

All I can say is I hope we see more of it. The little drop in the ocean of context excited me in ways many stories fail to. So, well done, those eight years paid off.

Dune Man is now becoming a proper set later this month so I can recommend this DLC now. The extended testing labs are some of the best dungeon experiences they've released so far, the story elaborated on some very unknown bits of Dune lore and the skins add variety. The Treadwheel I feel like will be a love or hate depending on how you like the handling, but it's my favourite land vehicle atm.

Beautiful game and crazily immersive, feels like hours are breezing by.

Angelica Ross is an icon and this survivor is gorgeous. Kudos to DBD.
Keep adding more LGBTQIA+ rep and letting the phobes foam at the mouth over people existing. The fragility is hilarious.

Now do Morrowind

Genuinely loving this game but judging by the drop off of people beating the jousting boss, feels like most people can't even experience how great the combat styles and gear are beyond that point.

Multiplayer is also beyond borked currently, you better hope you're good with your starting equipment or whatever you can farm in the first few areas because that wall of said previous boss seems to be gating a lot of people and they're unaware they can just skip it and so you're not getting carried here.

Also this is quite literally the only game I own that causes my GPU to receive warnings for overload... And it's a 2.5d side scroller? Devs, prioritise optimisation ASAP please.

It's a soft recommend for now because I genuinely am having so much fun and there is a gem here but it's a rough start.

The game is back, babyyy. And actually working this time.

This game healed a lot of hurt and made me cry far more than any piece of media I've interacted with probably ever. It's beautifully written and clearly comes from a place of understanding loss.

I don't want to say much else, this game is best ran blind, but give it a shot. It's truly one of the best stories.
