Early Access Review
Often so I tend to never write reviews as it was either mediocre or unneeded, but I deem this game worthy of a positive review and that says a lot in my books. As a fan of the Homeworld franchise with the aesthetics of this game matching it, it's a plus, Hardspace Shipbreaker is also a new niche in my games library, something which perhaps never has been done before in the market:

You are not the hero, you are not the, "one". You are a shipbreaker. A blue collar worker striving to eliminate his debt from the conglomerate Lynx Corporation. Through the careful disassembly, quite literally as the times I've blown up the ship and myself, you aim to reduce your debt to 0 and end your indentured slavery to the corporation. The core gameplay core is fabulous, albeit needing refining but what do you expect, it's an early access game and I have high hopes for this one. The developers have shown to respond very well to criticism and implementing what the community wants, an example is the recent open shift update and rapid patching of bugs.

Now, do me a favour and buy the game. You'll like it, and it's going to a great cause in the gaming industry to create something NEW and original. Now, you probably don't like reading to a certain extent so I'll give a summary.

TLDR:

PROS (AS OF RIGHT NOW):
- Great game play loop
- Something new in the market, it's fun as well.
- It's almost a puzzle if you're into that sort of thing, but it's also not. It's your way to disassemble the ships, so do with that as you will.
- Developers show dedication to the game, patching bugs and providing updates to adapt what the shipbreaker community wants. Alongside this, great communication.
- It's fairly cheap, good hours to get out of this one (as of right now I have 29.1 hours but I see myself playing a lot more and we haven't had many content updates yet. I've already had my money worth and many others have gone beyond that)

CONS (AS OF RIGHT NOW):
- Only 2 ships with variations. The developers have stated the next updates is focused on providing new ships, so it's not going to be an issue.
- Doesn't run smooth on older machines (for reference I was using a GTX 960 before moving to a GTX 1660 and I was hitting around 25FPS on the 960, with hitting around 40FPS on the 1660).
- Mediocre graphical optimisation, but the developers have stated it is an aim to be met shortly. I have no issues believing this as the work they've done already to patch bugs etc have been apparent.

What I've learned with this game:
- The 99.99% of the USA population are cops.
- There isn't a working drill in the whole country.
- If someone hear a drill noise, he will call the police anyway. Even if you're using it for doing some works at your house.
- I can shout to dying people to get up on their feet, and they do.
- If I wear sunglasses, the civilians call the police.
- If I have a beard, the civilians call the police.
- The cops are generous enough to give back my weapons and ammo after releasing me from custody.
- A girl can answer to a male guard pager without being suspicious.
- I can hide a minigun and a rocket launcher in my suit... on the same time.
- People don't get alerted if they see blood and bullet holes on the wall.
- An empty elevator with doors opened, can alert people and make them call the SWAT.
- If I induce a cop to handcuff himself, I can make him forget his training and moral grounds and he will instantly fight by my side.
- If I handcuff a cop, he stays on his knees and he stays there even if you leave him alone. A normal guy, in that position, can easily stand up and escape... but apparently there aren't smart cops.
- I can rob the same bank multiple times for different reasons and they never increase their security.

Revan was only 23 years old.
He loved TF2 so much.
He had most of the achievements and items.
He prayed to Gaben every night before bed, thanking him for the inventory he's been given.
"TF2 is love," he says, "TF2 is life."
His elder Dragon hears him and calls him a silver scrublord.
He knows his elder is just jealous of his son's devotion to Gabe.
He calls him a console peasant.
He slaps him and sends him to sleep.
He's crying now and his face hurts.
He lays in bed, and it's really cold.
He feels a warmth moving towards him.
He looks up.
It's Gabe!
He's so happy,
Gabe whispers into Revan's ear, "Try your chances... Open a chest."
Gaben grabs Revan with his powerful dev-team hands and puts him on his hands and knees.
He's ready.
Revan opens his pockets for Gabe.
Gabe puts his hands deep into Revan's pockets.
It costs so much, but Revan does it for TF2.
Revan can feel his wallet emptying as his eyes start to water.
He accepts the terms and conditions.
Revan wants to please Gabe.
Gaben lets out a mighty roar as he fills Revan's computer with keys.
Revan opens all the cases and gets nothing worth anything at all.

TF2 is love...
TF2 is life...
