This game is a great leap forward for Cal Kestis and the series. Building brilliantly on Fallen Order, it delivers a darker, more mature narrative exploring the heavy cost of war and resistance. Cal's journey is deeply personal and emotionally resonant, with excellent character writing and impactful performances. The stakes feel higher, the threats more deadly, and a much more fleshed-out world.

The gameplay shines with major improvements. Combat is still exceptional with incredible depth through unique lightsaber stances that offer different playstyles. New Force abilities also add to the complexity. Exploration is vastly expanded with new, sprawling planets with unique biomes and mechanics. The Metroid-like elements feel rewarding and encouraging, and not grindy.

Visually, the game is stunning and showcases detailed worlds teeming with the Star Wars atmosphere. Apparently there were initial technical concerns, but being late to play the game, it seems substantial patches have largely fixed them.

The story is gripping, the combat is deeply satisfying, and the character development is fantastic. While the Star Wars franchise has suffered as of late, they still occasionally put out good stuff, and this is one of them. I would definitely recommend this game, especially for fans of the IP.
