Vanilla, pound for pound without any mods this is still the best true city builder to date. With that said the game has a huge modding community and even then, it still might be the best city builder. I have hundreds of hours in the game off of steam.

However, the game runs sub 1080p out of the box. Easy fix. Right click the game in steam and click on properties. Where you see “Launch Options” copy and paste this line:
-CustomResolution:enabled -r1920x1080x32

Bam there you go. If youre inclined to run it above 1080, just change the resolution numbers. Youll have to download a mod to fix the tiny UI though.

Constantly crashes on MacOS. Definitely save your game after every 10 minutes.
