Solid MMO components, decent story. Suprisingly F2P friendly, despite all the hate on the "gacha" style cosmetic and will wish banners. Just so you know, these gacha elements can be completely ignored in favor of daily grinding. Group content takes actual effort to learn and succeed, so it's good to find a group that knows what to do to show you the ropes. The in game "guide" tab also will walk you through boss and raid mechanics. Overall, I think if you're a fan of themepark MMOs give this one a shot. If you decide you like it and stick with it cause of my review, then join Paimon Guild! Paimon likes treats!~(ID 3481840)

Has gameplay similar to Valheim or Outward, but with a Runescape core. The game is solid, but has some rough EA edges. I completed the Main quest in Ghorfell in about 25 hours, with a few side quests left to do. About 30 hours total gameplay probably at the current moment. If you liked Outward's tough but rewarding combat, and you have a nostalgia for Runescape, you'll be right at home once you start finding Copper and Tin for your first bronze armour pieces :) The game also has Masterwork items, so you'll be able to use some of Runescape's most iconic weapons like the Staff of Light and Abyssal Whip. My only real complaint right now is that some mechanics are rough (Velgar's Assault is too frequent sometimes, raids always happen at the worst possible moment) and others aren't explained in game (Night time is extremely dangerous compared to the day, but afaik this isn't brought up at all in game). I'd say it's worth 30 bucks though, as I had a blast with the current content and I'm eager to see where it goes from here.

I was skeptical going in since I'm a big fan of Project Zomboid, and there was a lot of people comparing the two. This isn't Project Zomboid, and it's not trying to be. It's an open world, tower defense game. Every few days there is a horde that spawns and will try to breach your base, so you build walls, turrets, recruit other survivors, and set traps to defend your homestead. It honestly plays more like a top down 7 Days to Die. I am happy to say that I've thoroughly enjoyed the game this far. I just finished the main story after about 40 hours of playtime, but you could probably finish in half that time if you focus on just the main story, but as a long time RPG player, I easily get distracted with side quests and exploring new areas, and there's plenty to discover.

Currently, there are 3 main "sections" of the city you can explore, as well as a ton of smaller sub areas, like the sewers, so the map is pretty expansive as it currently stands. There's lots of building and crafting options, fishing, farming, and even animal husbandry to a degree(fish hatchery and raising chickens) so there are options for how you want to survive.

Now, some bad stuff:

Survival mode only has one spawn far as I can tell. I haven't played it much, but after finishing the story I wanted to give it a try, and I'm not sure if I really want to since it's not at least a semi random spawn. The game almost seems like it ONLY wants you to defend at the school. In story mode, hordes always happen at the East gate of the school, so I'm not sure how it works in survival mode, but since the fish pond at the school seems to be the only spot you can raise fish, I could see it being the same in survival.

Bandits are ABSOLUTELY too cracked. Your npc followers couldn't hit the broad side of a barn from 20 feet, but the bad guy npcs are trained veterans that never miss. They also do insane damage, and can kill you or one of your teammates in 2 or 3 shots. The only effective strategy I've found is to use the environment to your advantage, peaking corners and doorways to get off a shot or two before retreating where they can't hit you and healing.

Translations need work. I enjoyed the story, but I had to fill in the gaps, and it reads like it was written by an eight year old. I understand the developers aren't native English speakers, but hopefully they hire a professional translator to fix it.

But even with the issues I recommend this game, and you can tell there was a lot of love put into this game, and even now, the devs are fixing issues and adding new stuff.

This game has so much potential! If you like games like survival games like DayZ, Rust, Miscreated, or the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series, then I highly recommend you pick it up.

Suprisingly good for the price. It's very similar to Arma II DayZ Mod, but with a smaller map and smaller server cap (24 max slots currently). The game includes some basic quests in it's current state, but are easy to understand and complete. Obviously the game is full of bugs, but the devs seem pretty active in the steam forums and hopefully will be working hard on fixing these bugs. The game has a faction based pvp system, which is actually really cool because it forces players to work together to kill npcs and enemy faction members, while being careful not to kill your own faction and be marked as a traitor, where everyone will kill you on sight, and you spawn in the middle of nowhere, dying of hypothermia. All in all, I would recommend the game, since I already feel like i've gotten my ten bucks worth. If you're looking for a pvp-oriented, open world game that's not just a bunch of people killing you the instant you spawn, I'd recommend this game.

Amazingly powerful 3D creation suite, comparable to Maya or 3DS Max, but its completely free. It even has a built in gaming engine, although its much easier to use an external one like Unreal Engine or Unity (mostly due to the licence), but if you're not looking to make anything commercial with it then its good for someone trying to get wet behind the ears since it doesn't require any scripting knowledge. Hours and hours of free tutorials, which give an in-depth look at all the tools at your disposal. Blender is a great tool for anyone aspiring to get into any type of animation, modeling, or game development whose resources are limited to none. Highly recommended.

Okay, so to start, this game comes from HORRIBLE roots, because what started as WarZ, the most notorious cash grab in the world, which evolved into "Infestation: Survivor Stories", which was the same game, but legally forced to change its name due to copyright, and eventually abandanded for another horrendous cash grab of a game. Even through all this, some other company, or possibly original devs of the game who decided to split from the original dev team, decided that they would give it a final chance to revive this horrible, dying title. Now, don't get me wrong, where this game comes from is not even passable as a game, since I find it very disrespectful to lie, steal, and falsly accuse your fans and community. That's the real reason this game has failed. You buy the game, then have microtransactions. Garbage. I don't even like DLC, much less a F2P model within a P2P game. That's the same route H1Z1 seems to be taking, and why I'll never play that trash again either. But, for those of us who managed to dodge the bullet that was WarZ and its predecessors, this new rendition of the game has a few advantages. It may end just like every other title to come from the anus of a company that is Free Reign Entertainment, which lures players, grabs as much cash as it can, then suddenly ends development and shuts down the game servers (seriously, no game from that company has stayed on steam for more than a few months). But it seems the company that took over this new development is making an attempt to revive the game and give a new light to it. Yeah, it still has micro-transactions, but it's free to play, so what do you expect? It seems that a lot of people who have played the game previously are biased on the actual gameplay and still upset about the weight that the title carries from previous versions. Don't get me wrong, I'm not praising the game or even saying that it's NOT pay to win. It could very well become just that in the near future. but for what I've seen in my few hours of playing, I would recommend it, ONLY because it's free, and it should be taken as such. A free game. Not the cash cow it comes from, but the shriveled, unwanted waste that has come from it's wretched teet. Now that the title has gotten all the money from unsuspecting players it could, it was cast aside to rot. I know this review is a bit strange, and seems to be going in all directions, my point is this. The game may not be worth a dime, and that's why its free. You have to admire the determination of these developers, who apparently loved the idea of the game so much that they are STILL trying to get us to love it too. And who knows, maybe they will actually accomplish that feat, albiet nothing short of a miracle will bring back the ones who were, for lack of better terms, "raped" by the games previous devs.
