Early Access Review
Tough and addicting, one of the best visuals I've seen recently (with great care put to the UI). You just want your little dudes to do well and get good loot, but they die so fast. The combat system is simple, but allows for just enough customization and different tactics. Good writing and atmosphere, and a great sense of progression.
The few cons include its slow-paced travel sometimes (you still need to pay attention lest you're jumped by raiders), and that the updates are very siginificant to how the game playes, so I chose not to play too much until the game's released. Otherwise the playtime would be a 3-digit number, easily.

Buy it if you like FTL and are fond of Homeworld's artstyle and worldbuilding. The game has a neat aesthetic, the music is especially atmospheric. The difficulty is quite high, but I was able to almost destroy the last boss on my first playthrough back in Beta - the game has become more fair and somewhat less challenging since then.
The only major con worth mentioning is that to do well in combat you absolutely have to use the active pause and employ quite a lot of kiting.
Big props for the developer for being responsive and working on the game even after coming out of EA. It's a rare thing to see a game that was not barebones, had a realistic goal and fulfilled it fully and then some.
A solid 7/10, if you need the numbers.

It's a very niche game made on a tight budget. Expect a lot of reused content (identical dungeons, palette swap enemies), and that everything happens in a VN way, mostly offscreen. If you like JRPGs, you might find the content a little bit too thin.
With that in mind, I'd recommend the game just on this "something" it has that kept me playing. The characters are likeable and the dialogue humorous. The writing is very self-aware and has a lot of references, but it has charm, the references and 4th wall breaking moments are overt enough not to feel forced or heavy-handed. There's some fanservice, but it's not sleazy, just a scene of Neptune getting a bandage bikini early on and later some awkward hugs.
The music is catchy, battle animations and 3d models are well-animated, there's a lot of different weapons and outfits to grind for, and the battle system is complex enough to be interesting throughout the whole game (there's a battle animation button skip under left bumper, which eases the pain of grinding a lot).
Buy it if you'd like a laid-back story and just a bit of challenge. Don't if you don't like moeshit anime.
Iffy a best.

10/10 Soundtrack, 10/10 Relaxing 2nd level, graphics are fun to look at, there is a WARNING dialog before a bossfight, you fly to the right and cover the screen with lasers.

Simple but not simplistic, fast paced dungeon crawling little thing with great music. Immensely satisfying killing sounds and coins clinging. The killstreak-combo system makes an aggresive playstyle preferrable. Local Co-Op works very well, the classes are pretty diverse and good teamwork is needed, especially during the boss battles. Great soundtrack, although it gets pretty repetitive (only 1 track per "world", spanning several dungeon floors, and tracks for each boss), another reasonsto get through the levels fast and aggressive. Secrets, upgrades, spikes, the good stuff. Adorable skeletons.

This is a very good timesink, akin to morrowind (more time spent on setting up mods than gameplay). Requires some imagination.

An overlooked neat little game, great in co-op. Very good level design, pretty colors and all. A solid game.
