It's a bit sad to give this one a negative review, because you can see the devs tried something with it... or at least the artist tried... and trying alone isn't enough. This game is
Tedious bullshit
The only thing you do is grinding gold and there are several ways for doing so right from the start, depending on how much mindless repetiton you're wiling to put up with. You can, if you're willing to grind gold in the braindead drinking minigame, buy all the initial sex scenes and max out your character's skills before you even enter the 2nd grinding dungeon, or you can grind the first dungeon until you win, and that's a damning pathetic indictment for any game.
And in order to get more gold, you don't even need those skills, because a lot of enemies are fucking optional!... You can walk past half of them, and losing a fight is completely inconsequential, because the "game" respawns you directly in front of that fight with full health. There is no challenge whatsoever.
The only thing the pointless gameplay brings to the table is busywork that distracts from the boring, generic story, and making it a goddamn chore to get from one story bit to the next.

The art is nice, but that's it. If this had been a visual novel without the pseudo RPG elements, it would have been a positive review. The rest of the "game" is tedious bullshit. You're better off jerking of to the ship images...

Challenging logic puzzle
9 / 10 overall
Well made. Nice illustrations. No bugs worth mentioning.

So clumsily translated that the story is confusing and thus difficult to enjoy.
The art is fine, I guess, but painfully obviously AI.
The whole thing is basically cheap AI slop. Wait for a large discount.

First impression:
Not the most complex, but the most charming roguelite deckbuilder I ever played.
After hours of gameplay:
Easily as complex as some of my other favorites, and still the most charming roguelite deckbuilder I ever played. It just starts simple and becomes more complex.
  • You play as an entitled, yet cute and somehow loveable princess.
  • If you don't like her, you can see her get killed in an unique way by every monster.
  • You can pet a kitty at the start of each run.
And the best part about it:
  • Each run may start a bit hard, but fair. And the fairness sticks - if you die, it's because you fucked up.
(I'm still salty about losing against that bog thing that I totally could've defeated, if I hadn't forgotten about one small thing... But I'm not bitter. I love this savoury and sweet, and certainly not bland game.)

Shana – Priestess of Disappointment
The stages of regret I went through:
  1. Expectation: The shop images look great and it’s made by Lustration who I know and like as the creators of "Lyndaria". Shop says it's similar to the awesome "Tamer Vale". Yay! Bought it.

  2. Anticipation: Can't wait for the download to be finished^^ Wait, more than 6 GB for a bunch of sometimes animated, but entirely 2D pictures? Weird.

  3. Denial: No. Please no. It's an auto-battler? The shop tags said nothing about that… I don't get to do anything meaningful or strategic?

  4. Anger: Yep, I don't get to do anything meaningful or strategic. I literally just watch chaos happen and press a button as soon as it flashes. Too little time to read skill descriptions. Skills are math porn ("increase X by 2%" is not exactly engaging or allows meaningful planning). You can't equip items you find during a run, only between runs, therefor making it almost impossible to adapt your "strategy". Bullshit.

  5. Bargaining: Okay, I'll just copy as many sexy pictures as I can get on my hard drive for 2 hours, then refund this. Better than nothing… S69 at least let's me put all combat action on automatic and focuses only on base management… Why do I have to press every meaningless button myself?

  6. Depression: I fell asleep while "playing"… no joke. Shana's post-combat victory cry woke me up… This game plays itself and the only consequence (aside from defeat against really strong opponents) is that you don't get to see any sex scenes, since you have to trigger them manually. At this point I'm not even upset anymore… Fuck this, I don't even care for the admittedly really sexy pictures anymore. I'm gonna refund this before I sleep through the 2-hour time frame for refunds…

  7. Acceptance: I gladly accepted my money back. You can see some of the best images in the game on the shop page anyway for free, and the internet is full of free well-drawn porn – no need to pay 15€(!) for this "game"… Get Lyndaria instead. And Tamer Vale. Definitely Tamer Vale.
Lustration: Sorry, but you should've tagged this as an auto-battler at the store front and I wouldn't have looked at it twice or given a review. I like your work when it comes to art and world-building (Lyndaria), but this looks like misleading or at least incomplete advertising to me...
Good auto-battlers exist (e.g. Godhood), but they're vanishingly rare.

I wrote this back to back with my review for "Axxx: Taught and Fucked" by the same developer and "Hotel Lust" is not only the polar opposite of that game, especially the comparison showcases perfectly why I'm so fond of the developer Fantasy Games: It's overall (art, sound, music, story, everything) absolutely enjoyable, just like other gems in their library.

10/10
