I needed to pull myself together. Right now, I had to focus on curing her injures--curing everyone's injuries. As many as possible, from among those who could be saved. That was what a hero did. That was what the Shield Hero should do.
I was better than anyone else in this entire world at defense, support, and healing, after all. Those were my things, for what it was worth.
And yet I couldn't concentrate.
