As someone who was once Prospect Elite, which is basically bronze 3; I worked my way up to champion 2, division 4. In both 2v2 and 3v3. From 2015 to shortly after 2020 I stood by this game, and after not playing it for the past 3 years I am here typing this.

I stumbled upon this game in a game stop on the set up play station 4 area some locations have, and I fell in love with the game and all the possibilities of what it held. So much so I bought it shortly after, and had occasionally played it; Completely naive to what was to come.

It wasn't until 2017 where I really started to sink time into the game. The player-base was growing at a very rapid rate, the trading community was bursting at the seams with everything you could imagine. My personal skill level had skyrocketed from bronze 3 to platinum 1. These events would continue to happen as time went on, and I was quickly becoming a very good player, and consistently reaching into the champions 1 and 2 in 2018; With Grand Champion being the highest rank I felt a great sense of accomplishment with where I had gotten in this wonderful game.
This is where problems started, and in my eyes, have not been stopped...

Epic Games bought Psyonix, Rocket League's development studio
Shortly after that had been announced, I had actually gotten into a game with a developer, with the sporty teal/skyblue "developer" tag and everything. I asked them why the sudden buy out and overall release on the game, and why they let Epic Games do something like this. My answer?
"Not a lot of us know, this was a move from of the executive higher ups, we never really got to voice our opinion"

After Epic Games had gotten a hold of this wonderful gem, everything came crashing down.
Ranked? Added 4 new, higher ranks after Grand Champion, I don't need to say anything more.
Trading? Non-existent after they put in their own "fortnite-esk" Item shop in there, completely inflating the price of these items, and destroying the trading community altogether
To top all of this off, if you BOUGHT THE GAME ON STEAM, YOU ARE FORCED TO LINK YOUR EPIC GAMES ACCOUNT TO YOUR STEAM ACCOUNT.
ALONG, WITH THE GAME BEING RELEASED AS FREE TO PLAY AFTER 4, YEARS, OF IT BEING $19.99

I've gotten to see such a perfect gem in life, be 100% destroyed by personal and company greed, and I'm happy this is the last thing I get to leave on this game.

Don't ever play this game, don't ever look in its direction, they do not care.

TO NOW HEAR NEWS THAT EPIC GAMES IS CLOSING DOWN TRADING, AND HAD GOTTEN RID OF LOOTBOXES, I CAN CLEARLY SAY AND STATE WHAT I HAD PREVIOUSLY SAID, THEY DO NOT CARE.

Getting rid of something so crucial to this game is exactly what I expected E(PIG) Games to do, When they Introduced the overly inflated prices in the shop, I knew that the trading community was going to be erased. It only took you 4 YEARS TO COMPLETELY KILL THE GAME.

As my, HOPEFULLY LAST WORDS, Congratz on being this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bad of a company, your efforts got you the results you CLEARLY WANTED.

So you're getting rid of player to player trading because, as the entire community thinks, we aren't dumb enough to buy your over inflated priced items. So why not just force everyone to use it right?

IN WHAT F UCKING PLANET DOES THIS OPEN UP FUTURE PLANS? YOU ARE ABLE TO BRING NEW CARS IN REGARDLESS OF PLAYER TO PLAYER TRADING. ITS A TERRIBLE EXCUSE TO GET RID OF A FUNCTION THAT HAS BEEN AROUND FOR SO LONG.

After playing the game for more than 100 hours again I have to say. THE STATE OF THE GAME IS IN EVEN WORSE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ SHAPE THAN WHEN I LAST PLAYED, AND I WILL NEVER, EVER, PLAY AGAIN..
I'm stuck in diamond because im getting TEAM MATES THAT ARE IN GOLD 2, I CANNOT GET OUT OF DIAMOND 3 BECAUSE OF THIS REASON,

I WAS A CHAMPION 2 PLAYER IN 2V2, 3V3, RUMBLE, AND SNOW DAY, CONSISTANTLY PLACING IN THESE RANKS FOR MULTIPLE SEASONS. SO WHY AM I BEING HARD STUCK BY THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ GAME/COMMUNITY??????

The fact that the dev's have gotten so lazy to NOT add 3 different variants to the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ battle pass car is a true testament to the games down fall... I'm playing again to hopefully get back what I once had for skill + more but....

NOW, I originally started with Trackmania Sunrise all the way back in 2008, and lemme tell ya, THATS A BANGER.
This Trackmania, is just the dev's entire last ditch effort to make a final, "hoorah" for the series, with constant updates and community activity. YES, it still has the same feel as back then, YES, It's just as good as before...
