Quite possibly my favourite game of recent years with the most amazing soundtrack

First and foremost, check my playtime! I am not just writing this review after trying to game for a couple hours, I have been a dedicated player and originally I thoroughly enjoyed this game. yes I have nearly 1000 hours in this game on Steam (more realisitically closer to 1600 hours if we include playing before I purchased on steam) , I am finally coming to the conclusion that this game is NOT worth buying as of late!

Here are a few of my points -

#1 The ELO (Ranking) system means NOTHING, I am a high ranked player (Top 200) being placed in lobbies with people that are rank 20,000. It is literally impossible for me to enjoy the game anymore due to the playstyle, poor play and straight up throwing that the learning players I'm constantly put up against do.

#2 Are you one of these learning players? Great! Enjoy the toxicity when you do something wrong, which you will do, everybody does it, nobody is willing to try and teach you, instead you will just be instantly hit with a barrage of abuse, that's ok because you can just report the players giving abuse right? Wrong, the report system does absolutely nothing. There are prolific gamethrowers that get away with everything they do, purposely throwing games and it seems that the dev team just straight up don't care anymore, compared to when I used to be able to report them on the forums and they would actually get banned

#3 I have been playing this game for the best part of 2 years (The ranked side of the game has been on the same season 4 for this whole time FYI) and would buy all of the in-game items to support the devs, this is until I had an issue with a payment and I got no reply to any of my support emails, effectively leaving me out of pocket for $1, only $1 I know, which is why I just wrote it off and made the decision not to spend any more money on the game, but you may not be so lucky, your purchase may be even more than just $1

#4 This game has been hacked MULTIPLE times, leaving all of my information leaked to the internet, including my login name, password, email, IP address and more. Luckily I use a throwaway email for none-important things but this is not something that should have to be done. Not only did their database get hacked, but they tried to DOWN PLAY it, that is until the database was actually leaked and the playerbase could finally know the extent of their information that had been leaked.


This game helped me get through a really nasty breakup and I will forever be thankful for that, but sadly the time has come to finally delete it.
I've been trying so hard to enjoy the game as of recently but it just doesn't happen anymore, the devs have proven that they really are not interested in their playerbase (please check other negative reviews, the ones from people with 1000s of hours and you will see it is not just me with this opinion) and it is straight up just an unenjoyable game.
