I cannot lie, I want Nightdive to remaster everything. Playing old games with modern features is just incredible, I don't care about no remakes. Give them Crash Bandicoot.

With Half-Life 1 I mentioned that it was the equivalent of Mario for Nintendo and Halo for Xbox or Sonic for SEGA but for PC, when it comes to Half-Life 2 this is the one title everybody should have in their steam library. The killer app for Steam. Whenever I think about replaying this game I worry I will enjoy it less and as soon as that train ride begins very quickly I don't want to put it down until the credits roll. Will probably end up as the game I have replayed the most. Memorable storytelling, gameplay, characters, environments, music, etc I could go on forever.

The 2024 update bonus of having Episode 1, Episode 2, Lost Coast, and workshop support in one bootable package is something many older games could learn from. I do wish there was a way to incorparate HL2DM in the menu so it could get more recognition, launching toilets at your friends is quite fun. Every videogame should have a commentary track, special features for games are just so fun.

The ultimate final from of Quake, more Quake II than Quake II (Quake II is good too though). It made sound cliche to call Half-Life one of the best video games of all time if not the best FPS of all time, but I'm saying it. Half-Life is a warm blanket that is endlessly re-playable. My first encounter with the game was the Uplink demo and it wasn't until maybe 02 or 03 I was finally able to encounter Half-Life fully through the Platinum Collection found at a discount bin (still have it too!) and have never stopped thinking about it since. Half-Life is to PC what Crash Bandicoot was to the original PlayStation, Super Mario 64 to the Nintendo 64, a killer app. No Steam library is truly complete without it and it runs on Steam Deck quite well! GoldSrc forever.
