At first I wasn't all that crazy about this game till my buds kept pestering me to pick it up and play it with em

So I picked it up, played some sessions with em... and I am hooked

This game plays greats, the weapons sounds and feel amazing, defeating enemies feels great, and tons of armor that will fit your play style

Plus playing with randos been pretty fun too, most I play with been pretty chill and awesome

I highly recommend this

This game is a really solid side-scrolling action shooter filled with various enemy types, weapons, and more 80s pop cultures references than you can imagine.

Level designs is fair but challenging, designed to keep you on your toes while also making the world look so alive; I actually took moments of pause just to admire the background of each level and see the story within them.

If you're a fan of side scrolling action shooters, cyber-punk themes, or want to get a taste of nostalgia, than you should give this game a try.

It's safe to say that Day of Infamy is a excellent WWII infantry combat game, actually being like Day of Defeat: Source. However the two games do have their differences. While Day of Defeat: Source offers an odd mix of realism and fast paced FPS action, Day of Infamy goes all the way with realism.

In DoI (Day of Infamy) movement feels sluggish, as if you really are carrying some weight on your shoulders. Weapons requires careful and percise aimming to land a hit on a target. You can even cause a flamethrower tank to explode and burn the user and anyone near him with a well placed shot.

DoI is also a class-based game, offering different types of classes. Between DoI and DoD:S (Day of Defeat: Source) the class are pretty much the same except two new classes; the leader class and radio class. Each class plays an important role in the game, with MGs cutting off access routes, snipers picking off targets from a distance, the leader and the radio class calling in off map support to aid assaults/defenses.

DoI also have a good selection of maps to play on, however some have the issue of possible spawncamping.

Now it all sounds like the game is pretty good, well it is for the most part.

It does have a really effective anti-cheat program keeping the game clean from cheaters called "battleye". From what I gathered what battleye does is it scans the content of your computer, and if it detects any files or programs that's maybe a cheat it'll prevent the user from playing the game. highly effective it is, but also concerning a bit as well.

Now here's the major issue I encountered in the game. Everytime I try to join on a official server I have to wait for about two to five minutes, then after that I get kicked out of the server with a message saying "Client not responding". I've done bits of research on the cause of this issue and how to fix it, but it's all a mix. Some folks say the issue is caused by one's computer, while other folks states that this has been a issue in the game since March of last year. If the second option is true then I'm rather disappointed that the devs has yet to find a solution to this issue.

Is this a good game? Yes, but with some issues. I best advise to wait for a sale. If the long loading and kick issue is really indeed an error from the game, than it's best to wait for a sale on this game; that way you don't waste twenty USD just to stare at the load screen for five minutes then get kicked.

It's a great challanging platformer to play, but with the lack of check-points it's a pain trying to get through the whole game.

The later levels of the game are desigen to break not only your mind but your soul.

It's not impossible to beat, it's just hard enough to make you wished you were playing with sock puppets instead.

Play at your own risk, even if you dig games that are designed to break you.

Game's free, what more do I have to say?

Get it now for the holiday season, and challange your family and friends to see who would be the one true santa.

Z is an good old RTS game that has the rock em sock em robots kicking each other in the nuts and bolts with guns and tanks. Really that's the kind of story you could think of for this game cause there really not much story to it. You command an army of red robots and use them to fight blue robots off of different worlds...that's mostly the official story.

Single player is alright, played a few missions on normal and found it challanging...maybe just me sucking at RTS games. Though I noticed when pitting a tank against another tank in battle it'll be a gamble...either the enemy tank wins or your's...all depends on if the AI is able to dodge and shoot well. Each mission will introduce you to either new robot units, vehicles, or defense guns to use; also some info about them. Each mission though is the same, capture more land than the enemy to be able to produce troops and vehicles faster; basically being able to over whelm your enemy before they can get reinforcements out. After a few missions though you'll get introduce to a new planet...but still the objectives is the same on each mission; control land and destroy enemy base.

No multiplayer it appears, seems this version of Z is more focus on single player. Speaking of this version, it's a complete port from the mobile platform; meaning some parts not like the original game.

The only controls I've been using is just the pointy device of pointing rudely at things...meaning the mouse. Mouse control is fine, but getting from one part of the map to another is rather slow; even using the minimap doesn't make much of a difference. AI units can get stuck here and there at times, and at other times I feel as if the enemy has more toys to use against me.

What I find interesting about this game is the robots themselves. When selecting a unit you get an image of them displayed in a box, showing their facial reaction during different kinds of situations. They'll cheer when taking out an enemy, they'll panic when taking damage, they'll urge you to attack the enemy base when you hold more land, and they'll call you out as a loser when you're about to lose the game. They also find enjoyment in shooting up the wild life, either being trigger happy or just dislike mother nature. I wish most RTS games of this day would do that.

Anyway, here's the pros and cons ladies and gents.

Pros
+Different planets and maps of single player
+Interesting unit reactions
+Decent controls
Cons
-Not the original, a mobile port
-repetitive mission objectives
-Poor cutscene quality
-An RNG like combat system between AIs
-No multiplayer.

Despite this game being a mobile port and missing a few things from the original release of the game, it's still a worth a try when a sale hits.

I don't understand why a review is needed on a game you can play for free, you can just download it and judge it for yourself without risking your money.

The game is entertaining, a tad bit challanging, and provides a pretty sick OST. The story is simple, break out of prison and fight for freedom. The main con is the game is really short, you can beat it possible under 30 minutes.

Now if you got Half Life installed right now then stop reading, download this free mod, play and see if you like it or not. Play it for yourself and see if you find the game enjoyable, the only thing you have to lose is your free time in life.
