This game is absolutely awesome. Infinite replayability, and with the DLC there's SO MUCH TO DO!

I've pumped almost 90 hours into this game so far and only have 25% of the achievements, which seem to correlate with your unlocked items.

There's skill needed to progress, there are hidden mechanics that you will naturally come across in vanilla gameplay as you get used to the environment and enemy effects, trinkets, items, etc..

It's like a mix between bullet hell meets zelda 1/ALttP meets roguelike. I played the original when it came out for about an hour, and have been sorely missing out since.


If you can afford it, the DLCs are 100% worth it. Try to get it on sale. They have been putting out tweaks to the weaker items in the pool too, so the DLC is getting better than it was, and they have been feeding other QoL adjustments to it as well.

Okay so this DLC is a bit of a mixed bag...

Essentially you get a new map to explore (after you find a certain alter), but it's a spooky path. It's always dark and red-tinted, there are new parts, interactions, and unique anomalies, along with a new twist on some common ones. You get all kinds of things to do, which is great! On paper.


You will notice after the first run that you have been finding different kinds of the same resource that you already have. The only problem is, it does not stack. In fact if you kick off the DLC too early (before pneumatic lockers-- unstable LIM) you can cause a serious problem for yourself depending on how many items you hoard.

In my run I had to abandon the DLC and finagle my inventory for 4 hours until I could get unstable LIM. Just a head's-up.

I do like the Maw and ferrymen, very fun anomalies. The Maw especially bc you can have some tight moments. Was trying to get back to the garage, had a spare, a blown and a loose summer, and an offroad tire left on my car, my engine was damaged, and to top it off I was on the difficulty Mechanic's Journey (includes traction changes for difficulty) which made a very stressful 7-minute crawl to the gateway whilst a hulking behemoth cthulu blob chases me down for life and limb. Very immersing.

If you have the money and like the game, sure it's worth a try. Just do it later game, after you unlock infinite storage.

Don't, unless you use another launcher to play online. Servers are not safe

Is what I said before I realized it was Nvidia's screw-up in the first place. I bought the game when the latest GPU drivers would refuse to run this game. It's a 4070 card, but since the june 20th driver update I have been able to play a full day without the game even threatening to crash at all. Now I can give this a proper review.


Very good gameplay, playing on hard right now and I am liking the resource management of the game. You don't get a lot of bullets, so you have to mix up your approaches. Stealth is a heavy aspect in this game, whether it be zombies or even human enemies you have to face. You can re-enter stealth after engaging in the open, and then sneak back on the remainders of the group like some sort of salt-and-pepper boogeyman. Sometimes it's best to outright avoid conflict, but I'm one of those players that has a desire to kill every hostile on screen, which is mostly possible aside from some select situations.

Story is very good. Feels like you're playing a movie sometimes. The acting is engaging and the main characters are easy to root for. You can even interact in real-time with some of the characters. The story gets very juicy too.

Do play this game, but pray Nvidia doesn't break it again.

Great game, I love it. Good timesink and it's fun to tackle the hills and bogs with a variety of small and tall trucks and getting myself into all sorts of mayhem.


Just one thing that bugs me... **The sun rises in the west, and sets in the west.** Go ahead, try unlearning that.

I'm upset that this wasn't part of the deluxe edition. I was expecting it to include separate ways like the original release.

Awesome game, always enjoyed the gameplay of this title over AC1. I Hate the bards though. Also what the hell Ubisoft where are my damn achievements

This game literally ate my soul

There's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bug in one of the late game fights that completely softlocks my game. Can't beat the game now. Super cool.

I want to recommend this because it's a good game and it's south park, but ♥♥♥♥ me. Might be a community fix somewhere.
