I will never buy another Ubisoft or Ubisoft adjacent game again.

Assassin's Creed 2 with no spoilers, right after playing Assassin's Creed 1 is beyond imagination, I am too late for this masterpiece yet it's mind blowing even now in 2026. The first part introduced us to the legend Altair but failed to make the players align with him due to minimal storyline and gameplay with repetitive missions but this AC2 made it possible what Ac 1 couldn't. I loved the Ezio's journey of becoming an Assassin and the other supportive characters. There were great improvement on the game mechanisms, parkour style, gameplay and the story along with introduction of wide range of characters including kids. They nailed with the dialogues and made it funny wherever they could. The locations, introduction of new weapons, unique missions, HUD style and especially the architectural models were insane. The paintings and statues were so fresh and also the subject 16's parts were interesting with reference to ancient history. However there were some issues with the Ubisoft server and I feel they gave up on achievement parts, the Uplay notifications showed up very rarely. Gonna continue with Brotherhood for more answers. 10/10

A massive improvement over the first game. Ezio is a fantastic protagonist and Renaissance Italy is a stunning setting. The story is engaging and the gameplay is much more varied.
