I loved Origins and after 100% completing it I figured I'd get Odyssey. Should pretty much be the same game, but set in Greece, right?

Well nope. This is a very complex RPG with robot-sounding branching dialogs and so much mechanics to care about that I was completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lost in the first 2 hours.

If you loved Skyrim and are ready to be fully invested in this, go ahead, you'll love it. Me? I guess i'm too casual and just not in the target demographic for this absolute behemoth of a video game.

Engine-wise, an incremental improvement over the 2016 edition. New season is very fun to play and the levels feel somehow even larger than the previous edition.
New tools are sufficiently interesting and well-integrated to justify playing through season 1 levels again.

Great fun, sometimes wacky physics, nice jazz station on the radio.

A game that will send shivers down your spine as you navigate through dark caves trying to figure out how to stay unnoticed from the giant squishy bio-luminiscent alien fish that will tear you to bits.

Pre-ordered mine 3 years ago. Haven't had a single issue since. Configuration is intuitive, ergonomics take a while to get used to but end up great, and I have seen numerous new features added to my controller over the years thanks to firmware updates (BLE bluetooth, rumble emulation, etc).
