After seeing how smooth Kingdom Come: Deliverance II ran on day one, I had high hopes for Monster Hunter Wilds. But man, this launch is rough. My PC is way above the recommended specs, yet the game runs like a mess. Stutters, frame drops—you name it. It’s so unoptimized that it makes me want to quit, and that sucks because I love this franchise.

Capcom, seriously, what happened? It’s 2025. There’s no excuse for a game this big to launch in such a bad state. Fix it, because right now, it’s just not fun to play.

It's a fun game but has some issues with the server. First game you have 30 ping, next game you'll 200+ ping and without restarting your game, it ain't getting fixed.

The multiplayer kinda works if you want to play with random people, however if you wanna play with friends? Out of the topic.

Spectre Divide: Yay or Nay?

Alright, so Spectre Divide has been getting a lot of hate, but honestly, I’m having a blast with it. It’s not your average run-and-gun shooter, and that’s exactly what I like about it.

At its core, Spectre Divide is a 3v3 competitive shooter, and what really makes it stand out is the whole “two bodies” mechanic. It’s not just about having an extra life; you can use it to pull off some seriously cool outplays. It adds a layer of strategy that’s pretty rare in this genre. It’s kind of refreshing, especially in a world of games where everyone’s sprinting at you at breakneck speed.

Now, it’s true Spectre Divide isn’t as fast-paced as Call of Duty or Fortnite, and it’s not as hyper-realistic as PUBG or Rainbow Six. The visuals don’t have the flashy appeal of Valorant or CS2 either, but that’s what makes it different. The slower pace and tactical focus are what make this game stand out. While games like COD have you zooming around and Fortnite lets people build skyscrapers out of nowhere, Spectre Divide forces you to think more, plan more, and that slower vibe is what makes it so fun to me.

That said, the game isn’t perfect. The grind is real, and not in a good way. You can only use your experience on one thing at a time – sponsor rewards, weapon skins, or outfit skins – and the amount of XP you need is ridiculous. Not to mention, the skins are pretty overpriced for what you’re getting, and there are some bugs that need fixing.

Overall though, it’s sad to see people jumping on the hate train without giving it a fair shot. If you give it a few hours, I think a lot of folks would realize how fun and competitive it really is. Sure, it’s got its flaws, but what game doesn’t? At its core, Spectre Divide is a solid, tactical shooter with its own unique identity.

Total War: PHARAOH Review

Disclaimer: Please note that this review is based solely on my experience with the battle system of the game, as I have not explored the campaign mechanics. If you are looking for a comprehensive review that includes the campaign, this may not be the review for you.

As a long-time fan of the Total War series, I was excited to try this game, especially since it was on sale. However, after spending at least an hour playing, I must advise against purchasing it, even at a discount. While I also own Total War: Troy on Epic Games, this game unfortunately felt like a mere copy-paste version of Troy.

The battles in this game differ significantly from previous Total War titles, with a more arcade-like feel that detracts from the experience. The combat lacks the satisfying depth and strategic complexity that fans of the series have come to expect, instead feeling more like plastic soldiers clashing without any real weight or uniqueness to the units.

This direction from Creative Assembly is concerning, and if this is indicative of the path they are taking, I worry for the future of the franchise. I sincerely hope that upcoming installments, such as a potential Medieval Total War or Empire Total War, will meet the high standards set by their predecessors rather than falling short.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint Review

Positives:

Visuals: The game is visually stunning, offering a beautiful and immersive world that is a pleasure to look at.

Combat Mechanics: The shooting and overall combat feel smooth and responsive, making for an enjoyable experience during firefights.

Content: The game is rich in content, featuring numerous missions, side missions, and a detailed progression system including a skill tree.

Negatives:

Driving Mechanics: Driving feels horrible, with frequent bugs that cause your vehicle to get stuck and then suddenly speed up, breaking immersion and gameplay flow.

AI Detection: The AI often fails to detect you even when you're directly in front of them on the highest difficulty, making stealth and strategy less impactful.

World Design: The game world, despite being vast, often feels empty and lifeless, lacking meaningful activities or interactions in many areas.

Cover System: The cover system can be problematic, especially in tight corners and close-quarters combat (CQC), leading to frustration during intense moments.

Overwhelming Early Game: The beginning of the game throws too much at the player at once, including raid missions, PvP, and numerous missions. This can be overwhelming, especially for those who just want to focus on the story and learn the game at their own pace.

Character Movement: The main character's running animation feels unnatural and detracts from the realism of the game.

AI Teammates: When you have AI teammates, they tend to do most of the killing, leaving you to simply run around, which diminishes the player's sense of involvement and accomplishment.

Conclusion:

I really wanted to love Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint, being a fan of what the game is trying to achieve.
However, Ubisoft failed to execute its vision effectively. While the game shows improvements over its predecessor, Wildlands, it still suffers from significant issues that hinder the overall experience.
Despite the positive aspects, the numerous frustrations led me to refund the game twice.
I hope future updates or sequels address these problems and deliver the experience that fans like myself are looking for.

The First Descendant Review

Introduction:
"The First Descendant" is a free-to-play third-person looter shooter that promises a captivating experience with its high-quality graphics and engaging gameplay. However, after spending some time with the game, it quickly becomes apparent that it struggles to live up to these promises.

Story and Gameplay:
The storyline of "The First Descendant" is unfortunately lackluster and fails to draw players in. The narrative feels generic, offering nothing new or compelling to keep players invested. The gameplay, while initially exciting, soon becomes repetitive. Missions often follow a similar pattern, leading to a monotonous experience that fails to keep the player's interest for long.

Graphics:
One of the game's few highlights is its impressive graphics. The visuals are stunning, and the attention to detail is commendable. However, this comes at a cost. The time required to compile shaders before you can start playing is excessively long, which can be frustrating for players eager to jump into the action.

Microtransactions:
As with many free-to-play games, "The First Descendant" heavily relies on microtransactions. The in-game purchases are intrusive and can significantly impact the overall enjoyment of the game. Many other reviews echo this sentiment, noting how the aggressive monetization detracts from the overall experience.

Conclusion:
Overall, "The First Descendant" feels like a missed opportunity. While it may attract players with its free-to-play model and impressive graphics, it fails to offer a compelling narrative or engaging gameplay. The repetitive nature of the missions and the overwhelming presence of microtransactions further diminish its appeal. It seems unlikely that this game will maintain a lasting player base, and it may struggle to stay relevant beyond its initial release period. In summary, it's a no from me.
