I really liked this game, especially the narrative. There's a good mix of personal story of the main character and sci-fi history to the world, and by the end, you DO get answers to a lot of your questions.
The sci-fi part of the narrative is also surprisingly very relevant to our world's latest technological advances, as a commentary on what might happen, even if I found the in-game "solution" to be kinda silly.

The main character's dialogue does RARELY go too far into "strong female character" trope (the bad one), but it's not an issue.
There's one major flaw however - the facial animations. Eyes move at 10x the normal speed and the lipsync is very inconsistent. This can be VERY distracting during cutscenes.

Graphics are great, but in this seemingly tribal society where people fight metal machines almost everyone is extremely clean and has very smooth faces, no dirt, barely any scars or other blemishes. It is weird.

The music in this game is quite unique and gave me sort of lonely vibes in the beginning, which I suppose fits the main character's origin. It definitely puts you in a certain mood during first hours of the game.

Of gameplay systems, I really didn't like the resource system, specifically the fact that resources have a stack limit. This combined with limited inventory slots for resources and no shortcuts to quick sell garbage items makes it quite tedious to manage the inventory when it adds nothing to the game.
There's also a strange limit on weapon/outfit/modification slots, I don't know how you are expected to ever hit them given that you only ever buy weapons and outfits, and there's not that many to buy.
There are weird lootbox type items in the game, that just drop random, mostly useless resources, not sure why this is in the game. All shops also sell a "sample box" for free.

The combat is very cool and unique for the first 20-30 hours, but due to how annoying some enemies are to fight, by the end I was just avoiding a fight at all costs. This is also not helped by the inventory problem I mentioned above.
The mounts are very slow to turn making them annoying at best and slower than running at worst, so I ended up just running on foot for the entire game.

The Frozen Wilds DLC is not that interesting story-wise (it's similar to the main game), and I didn't like the fact that the spear upgrades are locked behind a quest in its tucked away zone.

Overall, this game is well worth the asking price in my opinion (it's a steal on a sale), and even though the sequel bait at the end was quite disappointing for me, I am still waiting for the second game to release on PC.
