After spending a decade helping thousands of people unlock the achievement (not an exageration), it's starting to become quite tedious to repeatedly log onto the game just to unlock that achievement.
I'm also becoming increasingly busy with other things, so I can't afford to drop what I'm doing at any given moment, so rather than letting people wait for weeks or months on end, I would recommend checking out this group for other people that are able to help unlock the achievement.

I may still help people unlock the achievement when it's more convenient (i.e. during events, streams, or when I am around and happen to run into someone needing it), but I will no longer accept friend requests specifically just for unlocking the achievement.

GHOST OF CHRISTMAS PRESENT has been bugged ever since it was added. If a Free Christmas player unlocks the achievement for themself, the game no longer considers them a free christmas player, making it impossible for them to help others unlock it.
Due to this, I purposely avoid unlocking it.

Nope. The community team is made up of a lot of people , who work together in every regard.
While I can forward reports and ideas, nobody in the team is in a position to make executive decisions on their own, nor is there any currently active development.
Any proposed additions and changes were thoroughly checked and vetted by Valve, so even if the team was working on something, it wouldn’t be guaranteed to be approved for official implementation.

Good Guy Nick requires an active free weekend, which happens completely at random. There is no way to predict when the next one will happen; It might be tomorrow, or next month, or next year, or it might never happen again.
You must play with someone who does not own the game and is playing the free, public demo provided during the Free Weekend. Anyone claiming to have unlocked the achievement differently is either lying, misremembering, or used some form of cheats.
If you want to be notified when a free weekend happens, follow this group , it will also let you find people who dedicate their spare time to helping players unlock the achievement.
