I enjoyed Everhood 1 a lot and highly recommend people play it. Which makes me hate not being able to say the same for Everhood 2.

The story is all over the place and purposely hard to follow whats there. Being deep for the sake of being deep. Constant repeat combat encounters which was awful coming from the unique battles of the first game.

The game has funny moments, the combat is super fun when it works. and if you just want to have a bunch of fun fights with really good music then go play it.

Reaching the ending just made me feel nothing compared to the first, thank god I got everything done to actually get the ending, because if you don't, you have to do everything all over again.

If you're expecting Everhood 2, this isn't it. If you're wanting more fun fights and self contained moments, this is for you.

Wanted to 100% it before I made my review soooo... It's really fun when you get the flow of the movement down, I really like all the mechanics they throw at you and how much charm the game has. Music is fantastic and adapts to where you are along with different styles of the same track depending on what part of the ruins you're in. The momentum feels amazing and flows really well with the platforming.


My problems with it is since it's an open world parkour platformer, the difficulty curve is pretty brutal. Also some ruins are just way too unforgiving with checkpoints while others give you lots. At some sections it feels like a rage game. one wrong move and you lose all your progress.

I'm hopeful for the main game and cant wait to get more!

Valve has abandoned the game to leave it to bad actors.
Sniper bots make this game unplayable and has been for years.

I have little hope for the future for this game and it seems like valve does too.

Yeah it's pretty alright.

I will always welcome more songs in this game and the extra weapon and costumes are pretty fun!

At this price it feels like a pretty good deal for the music alone.

Though I don't like having the leaderboards be pay to win no matter the price so I hope they keep that in mind for future DLC and other updates. Especially when it gives you straight upgrades like the costumes

Looks forward to future content for this game and will be hoping for a more sizeable DLC in the future

After playing a couple runs of this game I can safely say it's worth the wait and price. It's a short game but quality and gameplay makes up for it. While having a few problems with the game which I'll state later on, this game has been a blast. I hope DLC or a sequel is in the plans because I want MORE.

If you haven't played BPM before hand, it'll be hard to get into at first but you'll catch on easy to the shoot to the beat mechanic. Movement feels amazing along with allowing half beat dashes if you can time it well enough.

Small boss spoilers: While the first boss is fun, you better get used to fighting them. It's upsetting that most of the bosses are just reskins of the same thing along with the same music (Which I'll add that they have unique music at the midway point) They do have slightly changed movesets with each boss. It gets old really fast, which makes the final boss a HUGE breath of fresh air

Weapons are also another weak point in my opinion. There's only 4 main weapons along with your skull and sword which is always on you. With the exception of the sword, the weapons ultimates don't really take advantage of the rhythm aspect of the game and I feel like that's a big miss

The gameplay loop is mostly the same for each level with each level introducing a new enemy type. While repetitive I've never found it boring because combat is this games strongest aspect... addicting even.

I will be replaying this game more in the future and will be hoping for DLC.

Most bosses the same and boring
Lack of weapons
Perks (Boons) are mostly just damage/streak/multiplier changes and are pretty unexciting

I really want to recommend this game but I really can't...

The main gameplay is amazing and so far the open world is like no other, but the online for this game is unforgivable along with major bugs from this being a bad console port. Any sort of co-op is bound to be littered with multiple connection errors and crashing.

Currently I'm in a tough boss section and having my friend help me. We have to play around an invisible timer to see when they'll poof from existence and leave me with a high HP boss.

If you can see past the framerate drops, crashes, unplayable multiplayer, invisible enemies then this is one of the best games out there... It's just a shame that this was a garbage port.

It's pretty pog.

Great game that still stands up to the games of today. Great ending and visuals.

Ate 20 apples 5 sweetrolls and 10 leeks in the middle of a fight.
