I have never in my life played a worse game.
I gave it a REALLY good shot.
I have 300 hours in the standalone because the steam version just didn't work so here's my 300 hour honest reivew.
This is not a Final Fantasy game, get that out of your head right now, it's a general JRPG with a story that was written by a 12 year old in crayon about the power of friendship and you're not even the main character.
Story: 0/10 I skipped it after level 50 it was TERRIBLE.
Combat: Not final fantasy, the developers think the game is too easy, as a simple minded tank who is colourblind let me tell you that I should have just quit at 50 hours when I got my first colour based puzzle, but I didn't realise it was a colour based puzzle.
Community: Toxic. like 75% of them are just toxic, gatekeepers that will tell you to do better but not how to do better.
Crafting: A second full time job. Fun, but a second full time job. Completely impossible to do if you have a first full time job.

Overall experience: inconsistent, doesn't explain or give you a chance to learn from mechanics, I'm not sure if you're supposed to play top down or third person because it seems like you need to constantly flip between the two. and I mean CONSTANTLY. like every 3 seconds.
They enforced the main questline, I can only assume it's enforcer to unlock all the content because if it wasn't literally no one would do it, big ego red flag.
Is it worth the sub? No, there's no universe where this game could be honestly considered above a 2/10.
Is it worth the free trial? Yes, to a point, you can't get into the content which will cause you suffering which is probably the idea, they want to lure you in with the pretty glams, and then when you've already paid it's too late and you realise how bad the games mechanical design and engine actually are.
It legitimately feels like a cheap japanese cash grab game. Probably because it actually is a cheap japanese cash grab game.

Absolute garbage controls. Very little help for colourblind. Terrible storytelling. It is 2024, we don't do "fight until you lose" missions. Either I am playing to win or I am not playing. I wouldn't have paid £7 for this never mind the 70 I put into the ultimate copy.

I selected hardest difficulty to start with, because I always select hardest difficulty to start with. Warhammer games don't get to be special.
I gave up on blocking and Dodging because I am colourblind and I refuse to play the game with the fallout 3 green filter on. That's not colourblind aid. COLOURblind aid is removing the impossible obstacle of colour and replacing it with something else. Audio, visual, anything but COLOUR. use a shape. Use a sound. Use a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ smell if you can figure out how.

Mouse 1 is shoot, mouse 2 is melee, block is C and Dodge is Space. Those are fairly standard key binds for every game right? I mean Darktide is fairly new and it uses... oh it doesn't use those key binds? YEAH NO OTHER ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ GAME DOES EITHER. DO NOT EVER LET WHOEVER MADE THOSE KEY BINDS NEAR A COMPUTER EVER AGAIN, SEND HIM TO RUSSIA BECAUSE THAT WAS A WAR CRIME.

And my personal pet peeves, the reason I stopped, the reason I alt F4'd. The unwinnable boss fight followed immediately by some random ass AI being the hero. Not.. really how "Stories" work guys. I Wanted to play as the protagonist, not as a random dead guy.

I tried that. You can't do that in the tutorial. Because if there's one place you need to be able to adjust your settings, it's definitely NOT the tutorial. if there's one place to spend time getting a feel for the game you just spent £140 so you are your buddy could enjoy together, it's not the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tutorial do do that ♥♥♥♥ elsewhere .

ABSOLUTELY abysmal, appalling game play, story and clarify. No idea what they were thinking, stick to plastic paint-able dolls and games workshops please. Do not ever go near a piece of digital hardware ever again.

Every update makes it harder and harder to enjoy the game.

Needs skill based mming. Was against a prestige guy in my first game but it's good.

Overpriced Dragon Age.
I said what I said.
Keep losing hours of progress to ambiguous dialogue options.
Uses the Dungeons and Dragons system until inconvenient, then uses it's own system.
CAN ♥♥♥♥ a bear, if that's a selling point to you.
Not 100% sure the mechanical concept of a "CR" has been looking into, but it'll be worth it if you can get it on sale for like £20

I think I like this game.
But it's singleplayer?
Confusion.
