You don't have to starve together because there are plenty of things that want to kill you

It didn't hit me until I was listening to music from the past and realized why this game means so much to me and why this seemingly simple game has depth, character, and atmosphere that give me nostalgic, emotional vibes. The game is not complex, and does not have a lot of depth to it. Yet I feel so connected to everything and all the characters, despite not even playing this game for long at all. I don't know if this has to do with the fact that I played LBP 1 & 2, but this game gives me a trip to the past in a sense. I know the word is 'nostalgia,' though that doesn't do the feeling justice. You won't find a game like A hat in Time anywhere, especially playing online with other people. I feel more than fortunate to have found a game that I connect to, there are few games that make me feel as this game does. The music is great, the platforming is smooth (mostly,) and if you get the online party that comes with some dlc, you will meet some pretty great people out there. If you ever played those platforming games of yore, like super mario 64, super mario sunshine, Banjo Kazooie: you will adore this.

I have spent over $20 o other steam games and didn't play them at all but i payed nothing for this and i had a blast!

i also bought some plants for $2 to help the devs, they are very nice people!

One thing people should keep in mind is that this game is very young and new with devs who actually listen to people who make good suggestions and improvement ideas from others. other than the ad and the occasional crash the game is not bad. simply put it is basically chess, the stratagey tactic game. If you don't want to deal with any of these things and don't want to help the devs, I suggest (like many others) play on Chess.com. One thing i can say though is that textures/shadding should be improved. sometimes it's hard to distinguish between some pieces on the black side. Other than the game being flawed, i think eventually this game will be spectacular with many more feutures to come/
